Allo All,
Me and Zobers are going to the Ducati Uppingham open day for the new bikes on the 6th March. Plan to get there for 11am. Who's up for it?
Disclaimer: usual bad weather get-out clause
I'm staying in a log cabin in the peak district with a bunch of lesbians that weekend :( I'll be trying to get out of it though so it's a maybe for me

It's all his ex-girlfriends.
It's all his ex-girlfriends.
That would actually be OK... unfortunately if you have ever met your stereotypical lesbian in the real world... they don't exactly fall into line with what 'Razzle' and 'Playboy' would have you believe.

My best friend is a Lesbian, makes me laugh when I tell people I spent the weekend in the pub watching Rugby with Lesbians. You can see their minds going into overdrive dreaming up these supermodel looking Lesbians.
My best friends other half aint bad looking though.
I'm not a big fan of Uber gays though, niethers by best mate...or any of the other Gays I know.

Mr Speirs

Nope, sorry. I am galavanting around the country in a bus..yay!!
I've got out of my lesbian weekend away, my girlfriend is taking her best friend... So if the weather is ok I'll defo be going, will be put all morning/early afternoon, I need to be back home late afternoon.
i would love to go to ducati, but i doubt i could get a test ride :P
wonder what there policy's are for taking a bike on test ride.......hmmmmm
Erm suprisingly laid back, they gave Speirs an I an 1100 monster and 796 hypermotard for a couple of hours with full tanks lol, neither of us look old enough to be allowed out alone.
haha, id love to ride a ducati hypermotard, they look a hell of a lot of fun.
just wondered, as i have never had a dealer based test ride, do you have to have your licence for a certain amount of years or be a certain age??
I'm not sure what their actual policy is, I just took both parts of my driving license. But I am over 25 which is some times te cut off point. Give them a call,

Most you have to have had your license for min of 1 year.

I'm fairly sure that it's minimum 1 yr with a full licence at Uppingham. Normally it's 25 yrs/old but I've known them and others make exceptions to this
You coming over Phill? Nice part of the world over there and some great biking roads

+1 ;)
I'm staying in Ashbourne on the Saturday night, though no lesbians unfortunately, I may turn up about midday, depending upon the weather.

That's where the lesbians will be, 1 miles out of ashbourne on the a515, sandybrooks country park to be precise.

Looking like a "gay" weekend for someone.
A517 out of Ashbourne - Belper, superb bit of bike road and one of the great meeting places and bike friendly pub at Hulland Ward in middle of Y jnc (maybe black cow?)
And of course Darley Moor when theres a meeting on, A515 just outside of Ashbourne.

What & where is Sycamores?
The ducati dealer in Uppingham is called Sycamore Ducati.
11am sounds good to me if the weather is good, if there is even a risk of me getting as cold as I did on Sunday just gone I'll be staying at home lol, I though my penis may never work again it got that cold.

On the basis that it said EXACTLY the same Saturday evening before going out this Sunday to be faced with torrential rain/hail and 1.5c...

Any arrange rideout relate to this ducati open day meet?
I don't think so Alan, I'll be riding the popular local roads though, there's an 80 mile loop I like doing.

If I turn up then I will be going for a run afterwards.
I'm keeping my eye on this, the weather and my work load. If the starts align with Jupiter then i'll give you a buzz G and head down with you.
Sound like a plan batty man??
Sounds damn good to me sir, give me a buzz

Be sure to keep an eye on your phone this time. Probably be mid Saturday or early Sunday morning.
What time are you planning on leaving yours?
Not to sure, hadn't really planned anything. Maybe leave at 09:30, so I'll be riding through the centre of nottingham about 09:50ish unless that's to early.
I need to be home for 15:30 though, so I will have to leave 'the area' around 14:15 to be home on time.

****ing it down here, so I'm off to Ashbourne in the car. I will need to get home in the morning, get on the bike, and phone to see where you are or where I can meet you. I'm unlikely to make Uppingham before midday (this is all assuming I survive my wifes driving today! arrrggggh, somebody save me!)

Been drizzling here for about an hour, supposed to be decent tomorrow though :)
Depending on the weather I'll be aiming to get there for 10:30 - 11:00ish
There's no way I'm getting as cold as last weekend though!

Wear suitable clothes for the conditions then ;)
My hands are the only thing that gets cold really, my textiles are proper warm :)
I have clothes for the conditions I enjoy riding in... I'm not buying clothes for weather I have no intention of riding in ;)

Fair comment lol
I wear my textiles for colder times, wet times and green laning so I get the use outta mine.
It will be cold tomorrow but dry, couple of extra layers underneath will be fine.

Nope, was packed with old geezers on hogs ;)
I was too cold tbh, stupidly after giving G some stick over his attire, I wore my leathers and I was proper cold, should've stuck to my textiles.
It was still drizzling when I got up so I stayed in be after last weekend... They have salted around here too!
