Hello all. I just registered here.
I have a 2009 SV650 I purchased last year with 7 miles on it for $2175, It's a rebuilt salvage, I bought it after it was wrecked on a test drive and the dealers insurance totaled it. I just had to replace the front fairing, fairing stay bracket, right turn signal, right mirror, sand/repaint right side fairing, and I bought a slip on because the stock muffler was rashed and too quiet lol, then take it for inspection. I bought the front fairing new from the dealer and the rest from ebay, total cost was around $700 for repairs.
I also have a 2004 CBR1000 that hasn't seen much use since I bought my SV.
This year I'm ready to start upgrading, I plan on eliminating the rear fender and grab bar, I have seen pictures of SV's with the grab bar removed and a filler in the gap left between the tail fairing and seat, I don't know what its called and haven't had any luck searching for it.
Are they just cutting the grab bar and painting it to match or is there an insert I can buy?
