ok this i know
my sv1000 wheel can be used on these bikes
gsxr 1000 k1/k2/k3
gsxr 750 k1/k2/k3/k4
gxsr 600 k1/k2/k3/k4/k5
so heres my questions
could i get 750 k4 forks and use a 600 k2 yokeset and still use my sv brakes and axel
also say a 600 k5 forks with a 1000 k1 yokeset
and other variations
or am i missing something fundimental (highly likely) here
The K1, K2 and K3 600 forks are right way up. Not sure about K4 and K5
The K1, K2, K3., K4 and K5 750 and 1000 are USD. Not sure if they're the same OD
But some of them are black nitride coated on the sliders, some are gold and some are silver.
Phew!
The Yokes will only fit if the forks are the right way up or not and the right diameter (obviously)
So best stick with the right year forks and yokes as a set.
and I've got a 600 front wheel I'm about to bang on Ebay if you're short of one.

GSXR 600 K4/5 are USD's
The GSXR 1000 forks are 2mm wider (i think) at the stantion than the 750/ 600 as I'm sure they run the same front after 2005

Dave, Im putting together a new front end as bits come up on ebay. I have just bought some SRAD yokes to fit on my K1 forks (someones going to tell me I have done the wrong thing now) So should have some K1 yokes to go if they are of any use to you.

Not sure k1 650 forks would be beneficial to an SV1000

Im keeping hold of the forks its the yokes Im getting shot of. I dunno if they are of any use, but if they are, I've got some.
Dave have a good read of this:
http://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=135430
600 k1-3 yoke are or RWU as are forks. roughly same as sv1000
750 k1-3 forks are USD non radial. 50mm top 54mm bottom yoke with 169mm spacing at wheel. 320mm discs
600/750 k4-5 forks are USD radial. 50mm top 54mm bottom yoke with 169mm spacing at wheel. 300mm discs with gold callipers. 320mm discs with black callipers.
1000 k1-2 forks are USD non radial. 50mm top 54mm bottom yoke with 169mm spacing at wheel. 320mm discs
1000 k3-4 forks are USD radial. 50mm top 54mm bottom yoke with 169mm spacing at wheel. 300mm discs with gold callipers. 320mm discs with black callipers.
all the above use the same wheel, spindle and spacer nut. you can mix and match all the above forks to yokes apart from 600 k1-3. when buying yokes buy same year for upper and lower as some are different offset.
1000 k1-2 callipers are non radial and 62mm mounting spacing 6pot (and are like hens teeth to get a hold of)
600/750 k1-3 callipers are non radial and 62mm mounting spacing 4 pot
1000 k3-4 callipers are radial and 108mm mounting spacing 4 pot (gold)
600/750 k4-5 callipers are radial and 108mm mounting spacing 4 pot (gold)
if you use newer black radial callipers on older USD radial forks you will need 320mm discs.
older srad USD forks use different callipers, yokes and spacings at wheel. they also use different wheel.
hope this helps.
just to add. you can use your front wheel, axle and nut on all the above permutations.
as far as i know you can use your callipers on all the above non radial forks.
your discs being 310mm dont fit any of the above permutations.
so if you go radial you need new callipers and discs.
if you go non radial you need new discs.
stay well clear of the GSXR1000 k1-3 forks as the gold coating on the stanchions is crap.

That gold coating doesn't do owt, and it wears off to leave a normal chrome coating which is no problem. However the forks themselves aren't great in ze valves and I'd prefer the showa alternative from 750.
