Times are tight and looking to cut costs in general, cant do a massive amount as we better buy every service before we commit.

however I have always been bitter with BT that I was paying £32 a month for BB and line rental, and didn't have anywhere else to go as there is no cable and I am outside the sky network zone,

so I call BT for a polite whine about the cost.

Broadband is now reduced from £17 to £5 for 12 months and line rental remains the same at £13

thats %45 off the total monthly bill just for saying please.

I moan a virgin about my broadband costs, they know I cannot get ADSL and BT fibre will never get here so they tell me to get stuffed. So £37/month just for broadband

You don't have to use bt for line rental, talk talk and postal office are two alternatives off the top of my head.

true...

however they were all within a few p of eachother, as I was with sky if I was within their network zone it could have been "free" with my tv package.

No, but I had to get the 50Mb just to get 1.5Mb upload. Virgin are out of kilter on their download/upload ratios. I know the next bunch of changes include a hike in the ratios to a more acceptable 10:1 ratio.
