Don't like the logo but equally if you look up Za in Persian script it looks like someone taking a dump. Maybe we should ask them to change their alphabet.

That's something I've always pointed out to anyone I'm with if I see it about, makes me chuckle everytime, what were the designers thinking :rolleyes:

I find it hard to believe that design was the best they could come up with! And as for it supposedly saying 2012, well it's definitely a subtle message, wouldn't have noticed until someone pointed it out!

There was one considered that incorporated Big Ben, the Millenium Wheel etc. to make 2012 which even I liked, but the four pinky/red blobs won instead.

So let me get this into some form of context . Somebody from Iran has complained about a logo ............. and now he will probably be poisoned of knifed in his sleep as he has ruined the chance of 20 or so Iranian Athletes to have a bit of a Holiday , and escape their miserable lifestyle for a month . And not to mention they could miss out on the chance to swap Briefcases full of cash with some Russians behind the scenes ..... or even do a runner and not come back . Good luck with handling that one .
