Yep, scrap metal is fetching good prices.

A couple of years ago I scrapped a Pug 106 and a Citreon Bx, I got £50 for each. Similar price for my Mums old Cavalier

Scrapped my old Vauxhall Cav last year and got £129!

Most of its going to China

Yep, there's enough to support a moderate crack addiction- had to report someone who looked like he was stripping an exchange today, they're always going through our bins, nicked my mates pram which she'd left outside the front door for a minute just before the lengthy walk to school and nicked a mate's engine from round the back of his house - they're absolute **** tards

Oh and the best one I've heard yet; nicked a complete skip from one of my customer's drives!

I have skips all the time at customers houses, the pikeys will look in them 5 times a day, if I put metal in them, I guarantee within 30 mins it would be gone.

I spoke to one of them last year, he reckons they do about £200 a day each collecting scrap.

You'd get £200 alone for a skip they weigh loads!

I've got loads of metal round the back of mine, but they seem to be all dodgy scum (round sheffield?) they're not fond of you challenging what they take...
