Hop on the bike this morning...extremely spirited ride to work (50mins + big grin).
Get on bike this afternoon to go home...rear of bike feels really unstable under acceleration.
Quick check....confused.
Try again....something is wrong.
Thorough check...rear wheel nut completely undone. [INSERT MAJOR EXCUSES WHICH BASICALLY BOIL DOWN TO ME BEING A RETARD]
Look to the sky to thank the lord nothing happened this morning...Woman walks up to me and hands me a flyer which reads "Jesus Loves You"

Option 1 - Free license to ride like a bell end - after all Jesus Loves me.
Option 2 - Time to take heed and start preaching the word of the lord.

-----------------------------------------------------------
On a completely different note...my diary is fast filling up and there is as yet no TVSF camping trips booked in. What is going on boys/girls?

Your bike must be sooo powerful that it undoes the wheel nut. You should ride slower!! :p

You might want to check your rear disk is still straight.

The real trick here is not to undertake work on the bike in the dark - and then leave everything loose on the assumption that you will check it in daylight the next time you ride. Add in 2 weeks of international travel, waking up late to go to work and forgetting that the reason you left the bike on an Abba stand with a torque wrench on the floor was because I was in the middle fixing the thing.

Could have been a disaster...instead I find out that "Jesus loves me".
