Which screen to go for?

MRA Screen

PUIG Screen

Near enough the same price, only £1 difference. :-)

Anyone got either of these screens and what do you think? Got any pics?

I think Nobbylad had an MRA screen and didn't get on with it. He did a mini review of about three that he had. The F.Fabbri was the best. I bought one off him and It's brilliant. Mate has got one on his thou too. Great wind protection. HTH.

I have an MRA and it's well nice. Researched for ages before I bought and I think it's ace.

My wife bought me the MRA screen for a Christmas present, and it works very well indeed to the point that wind noise in my helmet is noticeably reduced and my head doesn't get buffeted around as much at warp speed. It also fits perfectly, was a 5 minute job to install it.

That said I prefer the looks of the traditional double bubble screens rather than the flatter top of the MRA, but I can't see them working as well.

That one you missed out on looked quite nice. Good choice. Is it more for the visuals than the practicals?

Both.

The Fabbri seems to get the best reviews now I have read into it a little more! Plus its the cheapest so its a win win situation.

I thought I got my MRA cheaper than that. It was shipped from Germany to me and I thought it was about £40-ish all in. Maybe my memory is a bit ropey....

I have a Puig, deflects the air nicely over my head even at track speed with the riser bars. Never had anything else on the bike and to be honest, it looks the dogs danglies too. I love it.

I suppose it depends on your size too. I'm 6'5" so the fabbri was the tallest that I could find. Deflects the wind nicely. Much better than the one so had fitted to my Chevy.

Here's the thread that I compared them in http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=158536&highlight=powerbronze&page=3

I really didn't like the MRA screen and Cbay, I think you bought the powerbronze one off me...but can't remember. Edit: Think you actually bought the MRA 'cos I remember smashing the powerbronze at Anglesey

Out of all the screens I've had, the Fabbri is streets ahead. I bought the MRA as it had lots of good reviews for reducing wind noise, however I thought it made it worse than any of the screens.

The one thing that always seems to go when I have an off is the screen...which is annoying

I still have a Fabbri screen on my K8 and have a stock screen on my K5 (sold the Fabbri screen off the K5 to paiste). Just got another Fabbri to go back on the K5

Exactly this, and will depend on the actual bike it's fitted to, Curvy, K3 or K4+ as they all have somewhat different seating positions.

Right LM Spares have let me down badly. Made me wait 3weeks which I was happy with for a Fabbri Screen but now they tell me they can't get them at all. :-(

Who else sell the Fabbri Screens?

I've just fitted today a powerbronze DB to my sprint, £49 delivered, it's think plastic as well so not wafer thin like some, might be worth considering :)

IntoBikes are £25 more. £85 is quite alot for a screen in my mind.

I had the same issue, although I don't think it was quite three weeks. Scoured ebay, and in the end the .org came up trumps and I got none from nobbylad.:)

85 for getting one, is better than 65 for not getting one

Not a great picture, but this is a PUIG

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/3396/imag0171e.jpg (http://img215.imageshack.us/i/imag0171e.jpg/)

The wind deflection is a lot better than standard, but being just over 6" tall, I still get a bit of buffeting on motorways

Powerbronze ones on ebay are £55 + £7.99 so actually work out more than the £60 Fabbri, except can't get hold of the silly fabbri screen! argh!!
