Just booked the steam packet over for 2 nights July 8th - 10th with the bike. Any recommendations on where to stay, single room?

sorry i'm in kent lol
Stay in Douglas. Literally as soon as you're out of the ferry port just ride down the seafront to the right and a lot of the roads off there are filled with b&bs which when I was last there were about £20 per night. Loads of parking down the front and in open view so pretty safe. Some places may have dedicated parking but I wouldn't say they're essential at all.
As long as there's no massive events on when you go, finding accommodation will be easy and you most likely wouldn't even need to book.

It's possible. I'm hopefully going over with a couple of other lads so it might depend on their timetable.
What's the occasion?

I'll be over with a couple of mates from the 11th until the 14th and they want to b&b it.
Anywhere special you'd recommend?

Depends on your budget and where'd you want to stop, i have a strong recommendation in Peel, but it's not at the cheaper end.

Blimey, we might have to do an SV week in the Isle of Man. I'm probably coming over on 10th July for the week to watch the Southern.
I'm not lording it in B&B tho, it will be 1 man & his tent. Going to the same campsite in Peel again. Very reasonable rates last year
As it happens, someone resurrected the plan o man thread in rideouts and meetings earlier...

Yeah we hosted the plan from that campsite in peel, fantastic little site. On google search Albany house bed and breakfast - Albany road peel. As I say that's top end of the market, but my dads in catering and has known the guy since living here everythings top standard. There is another in peel Icanopit on this forum would be able to give you more detail if you pm him, cheers matt.
