Right, i had to beep at a 'typical' BMW driver yesterday after he shot thru a junction well after my light turned green nearly clipping my front end, anyway my horn gave out this pathetic little 'beep' noise and seemd to die and has not worked since. I have ordered a new horn as it was cheapest option first off.

Then this morning and yesterday morning we had quite a bad frost and my full beam headlights dnt seem to work but after the bike has warmed up and the frost has gone off the switch gear then they work again which is quite odd, i have been trying to ride with them on all the time to see if i can catch when they go off.

Does anyone have any ideas, loose connection in the switch gear itself maybe, i had a similar problem on my old Yamaha XJ when the light wouldn't work at all and that was a switch gear but then that was just the lights.

Btw the indicators still work just seems to be the horn and main beam affected which makes me thin loose connection.

My theory on the main beam would be maybe a bit of moisture inside the switch? It could have frozen the terminals in the open position so the switch wasn't actually doing anything. Once defrosted, the switch starts to work again. I'd try splitting the switch housing and dry it out/WD40 it.

Will do this weekend when the new horn arrives.

Right got new horn and still nothing, dead as a dodo, thinking it may be a loose connection as the horn works now and again for literally a second. If it is the wiring to the actual button is it repairable?
