Well....I for one found it highly amusing, but will not and don't want anyone else that's seen it to spoil the amusment for those that haven't recieved theirs yet!
Actually, I don't care! Seriously, someone explain what the reasoning behind this question would be!
Got the form yesterday, so had to just go and check. All I can say is ...
HAHAHAH! Plonkers :)

I never got that far I read the first page and chucked it on the worktop and havent read the rest. Another bl**dy pain in the ass form to fill out.
And then what will the government do with my data, burn it onto CD or store it on a latop and leave it on a train...
On mine - Q17 - 'this question is intentionally left blank'.
As my mother is Irish, I have decided to be Irish for this purpose, even though I hold a British passport. And Anne is Cornish. So we are a Celtic household:D But for Q20 I might be Jewish or maybe Muslim. Not many Irish Jews or Muslims around:lol:

Maybe when it arrives I will understand the merriment
It's official. I am now an Irish Jew. Anne is a Cornish Muslim.
I am strong with the force.
*waves hands through air* These are not the census forms you're looking for.

No and yes......I'm in Norfolk.
I can't wait to see all the questions on dialect in ours. Not only do you speak Gaelic. other languages include scots' dialect ( which covers loads)

Last time when it asked for occupation Mr LPH wrote 'Bricklayer' and then in desciption of job 'I lay one brick on top of another and drink tea'.

IBM have been putting pages labelled "This Page Left Intentionally Blank" in their manuals for ages.
It shows that it is a placeholder.
What it means is that, as we have discovered, there are some forms (non-English speaking it seems) that are not relevant in all areas.
It means that when they put the forms through the scanner when they get them back, they can use one scanner layout for ALL forms.
Sensible really.

Actually, I don't care! Seriously, someone explain what the reasoning behind this question would be!Well, last night i got home to find my next doors census on the door mat along with their post. So no idea where ours is. I wouldn't mind, but its walk sorted so the postbod has to look at the numbers and match them up. I mean (In a Clarkson voice) How hard can it be?

It IS amusing, its just that I have seen it or similar for years.
The irony of the IBM example is that by writing "This page left intentionally blank" on the page means that it is no longer blank...
It does mean however that when they add content to the manual, it doesn't mess up the index, so that page x always has content y

That's what I found amusing David....the irony of it. If they had said above it then fine, but to put that inside the box....just silly...lol.
I was also amused that in case anyone wasn't sure what to do next, it tells you to go to Q18.....HAHAHHAHAHAHA :-)

Well if you read the form correctly, you would say that it says to be completed ON the 27th

See I forgot you were a heathen.
Must be because of you being bright enough to move to the better place :p
I wish though I was educated up here and I did do a stint at Oxford Uni - may that's why I was bright enough to go back to Glasgow and finished my higher ed there!
Probably one of the few English in scotland that can understand Gaelic too.

Nah, just hit it with a crowbar
I'm moving house in a couple of weeks. Should I complete the one that got sent to my house here or should I wait and complete the one sent to the new address? Or should I fill both? Or should I not bother at all?
Are you allowed to not bother at all? What's the penalty for not bothering to at all if there is a penalty?
you got yours sent??? I had mine personally delivered.
you should complete the one at the residence you will be at on the 27th March.
wait till you are there if no form request another and fill it in
Up here its a £1k fine
