If you're referring to earthquakes. More specifically, the one in Japan, then it's entirely possible we could have had tremors here. I remember studying this in school. Shockwaves from the earthquake can pass through the Earth's mantle and can give a small tremor round another side of the planet to where the original quake took place.
They apparantly "bounce" around the mantle, bit like throwing a bouncy ball randomly in a small room, it will keep going until it stops, but looses a lot of energy in the process.

Yes I'm sure I felt something. My galileo thermometer was shaking too which would suggest something happened. It's not unheard of for a big lorry to shake my flat but it was in the early hours and I didn't hear one pass.

The kebab on thursday didn't help. At least you can't smell it, sewage works smell nicer than my bathroom 16 hours later

Darren - you live next to an RAF base.

Big fat hairyplane taking off, or landing?

(Oh no, I've just given away where he lives - quick - everyone go round there and ring his doorbell)

Nah not at 2am.

It must have been a delayed 'Earth move' following the Soho meet and my little ride after.

The UK has several hundred earthquakes every year, but they typically very small. However, nothing has been reported by the BGS (http://www.earthquakes.bgs.ac.uk/recent_events/recent_events.html) yet.
