Throttle cable replacement?

Haven't really started to tackle it yet so anyone got any tips from previous experience? Haynes is doing it's usual and making everything sound sooo much easier and less fiddly than it actually is!

take your time, and before you ride it makesure that the cable doesn't give it more juice when you turn the handle bars as this can be a bit of a pant filler going round corners
