My neighbours road legal quad bike last night. It was parked in his garden, chained to an anchor.
They lifted his entire fence panel, and assuming they loaded it onto a van and ****ed off. Neighbour informed me that his chain was as thick as mine (Pragmasis 16mm Protector)
Cant believe they did all that at night without anyone hearing a thing! To make matters worse I found my bike today with the cover half off, mainly the Anti-Pinch in bit exposed, like they'd had a look to see how it was secured.
Royally sh1tting it now. If they can do that to his quad, my bike will be a piece of **** to steal.
Must of been between 2-5. I rolled in about 1:30am ish from Ace and West End, and it was dead in the estate. OH was up at 5 with the kids, saw nothing.
Off to look for an alarmed disc lock now :(

FFSake!!! Can't think of anything else to say. Buy a CCTV fake camera, or even a real setup? The lengths you have to go to. Jeez

It'll be those caravan dwelling folk who live not to far from you won't it

How else are they supposed to pay for those weddings???
On a serious note, I think it's someone he knows that done it - just a gut feeling.
Really feel for the guy, that quad was his passion. He worked on it more than he rode it. It was only last year he had a PW50 stolen from his garden too...

These pikey's are quite good at casing out peoples gaff's and nicking stuff like this, so even if he thinks its someone he knows, it might not
I heard of a group who tried stealing the RHIB (Rigid Hulled Inflateable Boat) off the back of one of our old patrol boats whilst the crew were still onboard below deck.
The Rhib must weigh about a ton.
Brass necks these travellers

There is a version that just uses a camera to track movement. Sounds like a propper idea! Though the paintball gun would be epic... just end up getting shot when you forget :smt080

Kinda. I parked my car in a way to blockade the bike in, but this involved the back of the car pretty much covering my neighbours doorstep. Niece stayed last night too on the sofa, and she asked if she could keep the light on ;)
Setting up an IP camera to point out of my bedroom window, lucky I have a spare one at work. Decent IR Night Vision, Motion Detection etc.
Think I'm going for the Albus Alarmed Disc Lock as well.

Yeah good idea, PITA having to go to extremes to keep the t*ats off your stuff though. Couple of hungry rotweilers might help ;)
