Thanks for the welcome, That road is great but the deeper you venture into Wales the better the roads get and traffic becomes very sparse. Almost all the 20'000 odd miles I did on my Fazer were spent on 'the wrong side of the bridge' In fact they only other miles were getting to and from Wales.

Is your bike kept on the road there? When I was house hunting in Clifton I had some CRAZY quotes for keeping a bike on the road.

Kept mine in the back garden so the quote was not to bad but much of that might be down to being considered old :reaper: I suppose it depends on how appealing the bike is to prospective thieves.

Mine = not very. Stretchie and Squirrel have had their spannering hands on it and it's been a guinea pig bike.

But still - insurers didn't seem to care no one wanted to nick it. Had to settle for a place with a garage!

Lucky enough to have a garage, but even with limited riding experience (couple of months) the insurance is relatively cheap.

BaP

With a garage now I can get TPFT for £100 or fully comp for £280ish. If I'd moved to Clifton I was looking at £800 for it on the road(!)

so come on then are we gonna get something arranged, all meet up, do a ride out or something, i am happy to organise the first one, not hard, just need some sort of understanding who would be interested,

how about for starters, we all meet at Orst Services, say 10am, go for a gentle ride out, say chepstow to monmouth, then up towards hereford, cut across and come down to the bus station, break for a sneckette there, i know where i mean.

then back down to chepstow and back to orst services.

all this on Sunday 9th April 2011, who's up for that then

Nice!

I used to race my LC as a 250 before putting it on the road as a 350. Wish I'd left it as a 250 as it has an unhealthy (and expensive) appetite for pistons now. She is currently in disgrace in the back garden (since last August) waiting for the garage to be completed so I can rebuild her again.

31K's are starting to go fo silly money now, like LC's. Get yourself an F2 quick! G'won, you know you want to! ;)
