my cage is doing 40miles to a tenna but my bike is doing 80miles to a tenna :) no brainer really, cant see the car getting much use this year :)
I have been commuting (20 mile round trip) on my bike for the same reason - Accord Type-R - 106 miles to £23 - SV1000 - 125 miles to £18

me too..... bike being serviced this weekend, finally new tyres and I will be binning the cage for the bike.
Car park been taken off us at work so this is cheaper and gets me to work quicker :-)
And Woozle will get more confidence and get her bike holidays in this year !!

Liking this! :smt023
Its annoying that Mrs Skips Astra Eco4 cage can do 200 miles on about £20 but its about as interesting as falling asleep to drive...
Its enjoyable knowing that you aren't spending too much getting to your destination but as far as the pleasure of actually driving it... ZZZzzz

is it just me or has anyone else noticed, petrol stations seem to increase petrol prices by 1p per litre every time you drive past :( its now getting to the point where people are getting forced off the road.
i think about journeys before i make them to try and save £££ unless its Darley, Mallory or Oulton lol :)

thats why i wish i kept my YBR for, 250 miles on 8 litres was the norm for me
I had to pay £1.42/l diesel today. That, or run out of fuel:rolleyes:

Hey Daz, why don't you put some extra miles on your gixxer and come on my French trip in September ? :)
Can't post a link ATM .

F800GS = 100 miles per tenner, even with today's rapacious fuel prices and my 'heavy right hand'.
SV650 = Up on stands in the garage till I get time to repair the clutch.
Pitbike = Illegal.
Car = Written off.
Pushbike = Stolen.
Commute = too far to walk or casterboard (http://www.rollersurfer.com/products-gear/pro-longboard).
No contest, really. :D

Am I the only one here who's car is cheaper to run than the bike?!
I get about 100 miles for 18 quid to fill the bike but the car does 600 for 60 quid.
Not to mention tyres are cheaper on the car too :)

I get about 45mpg on average out of my TDI golf, not sure I get that out of the sprint unless I ride really economically.

No. Total running cost per mile on my old 1.3 Corolla was considerably less than my BMW bike. This is true of most middleweight bikes vs small cars.
