Apparently, the Moon is the largest it's been for about 20 years due to it's orbit.
Go and take a pic and post it up!

me go take some in a min.. but I have to "hold" the lounge.. Mand at work and Kali due in at 8.15 if I go out to the garden she and her fella will take over the lounge for the night and I Will be banished to the bedroom or conservatory - in my own house!

Fuji HS10, full zoom (30x which is 720mm) Spot meter mode, centre auto focus, tripod and 2 second autotimer to avoid shake.

Still very much an amateur but getting there...chance to play with my new zoom lens
Canon 450d with Sigma 500mm, manual focus using live view x10 digital zoom, manual mode (ISO100, 1/60, f/8), tripod, 2 second timer

Also due to the moons proximity the largest tides for the year have been predicted for tomorrow, which means ill be out on the river lune with the jetski:)

That's not fair, I want one! I wouldn't mind some nice cloud just like that too :)
I took some more pics tonight but haven't taken them off the camera yet, I used some exposure bracketing to get 3 shots for every one with varying exposure so I have a better change of getting a nice pic, I think that last one was just slightly "over cooked" although the moon is bloody bright so it's a fair representation.

And for the geeks: taken with my trusty old Nikon D90 + 70-300 VR lens @ 270 mm, on tripod, 1/2 sec @f/11, ISO 200. ;)
I vote for Filipes as its interesting...I took some on Friday but havent loaded them yet.
