My kids have a laptop with windows7. As it came from an educational grant it was already set up with two users - Administrator (me) and Learners (them).
Stupidly, Ive forgotten my admin password so now can't change anything on that machine.
Can anyone offer some advice as to how I can get admin access or force a password change?
Thanks, KJ x

If you don't get it sorted by the weekend KJ let me know and i'll pop over and hack it for ya ;)
i used this rescue disk on a win 7 pc

You will need another pc to download and burn the iso image to cd.
Then stick it into the win 7 pc and boot from cd.
There is a windows password reset option from the menu.
It does its thing and then reboot the pc and log in using the reset / blank password

this works well, you may need a free program like power iso to burn the disk
When the computer starts up, just before the windows logo appears keep pressing the F8 button.
You should get a menu, select safe mode. Once in you should be able to login as "Administrator" with no password, assuming it hasn't been disabled. Once in you can change the other "Admin" password.
