Don't know what my plans are for this year.

I just spent 1 week in Scotland, driving around, spending time in a Spa, seeing a friend in Mamma Mia in Glasgow, seing my Gran and Grampa.

I will be hopefully spending a week or two bimbling around europe on the bike, I've bought everything I need, luggage, bigger tank capacity, tent... I just need a suitable sleeping bag and off I go.

There is an intention to spend 10 days in Rhodes self catering. I love Rhodes old town and Lindos so still trying to decide where excatly to rent a villa. Will be keeping an eye on Libya though as it's close enough to be nan inssue if Gadaffi duck starts playing bomb the med.

I want to go to Thailand for a couple of week too but seeing as I didn't have time to take 11 days holiday last year I'll have to see how time treats me :(

Well I've got lovely tantalising views, with clean fresh air, people who are charming wonderful and keen to help spend your money, all for 8 weeks in july, august and september.

This lovely place is call Hannibal House, its sited on the 2nd and 3rd floors above the Elephant and Castle market. All for a promotion course at work.

But providing I pass everything Im off to the Valenica Moto Gp on Nov 6th..

Snowboarding trip to Sauze in January is likely to be it for me this year, seeing as the day I got back to work from that week off I was handed my redundancy notice (a nice touch).

Had my 2011 holidays in January, Carribean cruise with the wife.

Still work has allowed me to carry over 3 days from last year so I might just be able to get a fortnight in North Africa in September.

Bali and the Gili Islands for a couple of weeks at the end of May.

Long weekend riding in France at the end of June.

Redundancy looms at the end of September so it'll either be a month away somewhere if I don't get a job or a week of winter sun before Christmas if I do.

10 days in Aiya Napa (yeah, come on with the chav comments) with 6 guys in July for my first ever lads holiday as I've always had a lady nagging me to go somewhere with them previously.
I think I'm going to come back whiter, thinner and a lot iller than when I go out there.

Things i'm most looking forward to are the grand canyon and the viewing platform :smt119 the rides at Stratosphere in vegas :smt119 and watching the laguna seca gp before flying home the day after, cant wait!

little hint from keithy... dont go on the skywalk. waste of money, and they dont let you take a camera. trust me the views all around are spectacular enough to not have to go near it.

and did the Strat rides in Vegas last year. fair to say i shat myself :D

Something like, But I can only move time

I only get two official days off (Christmas day/boxing day) the rest to be taken out of my allocation. so despite many of our sites being shut for easter etc I can work them from home which means I then get to juggle the bank holidays to give me a decent span of holiday instead of the odd day.

iirc it was 30 or 40 dollars, and their souvenier photo of you in blue plastic bags for shoes will look just quaint and set you back about the same!!

Awesome I love rides, never been on one 1,000ft up before either

the one you'll like the best is the one that tips you off the edge!! mental. if you can afford it do the zip wire. its an 800 foot free fall and you only start to slow down when you reach the lobby. did have the cahunas to try that one! god i love vegas! its not for everybody, but if you can accept the cheese and schmaltz its awesome. oh and go to Freemont Street too!

Flying over to Lisbon for 5 days for the GP in a few weeks.

Easyjet, apartment in the city centre, cheapest hire car we can get, dirt cheap GP tickets.

All the more money then for copious amounts of Super Bock. :smt016

Looks an interesting city.

Us poor old pensioners have to make do with £9:50 Sun Holidays and the odd day out with my bus pass.

I only managed eight of them last year:D---8x4=32days
Unfortunately foreign travel is a no-no due to being unable to obtain insurance but 30 years working abroad sort of satisfied the need

Im not really flush at the moment for holidays and i am also lacking in holiday partners :(

Thrash it down the west coast taking in La Rochelle, along the mountain roads to Perpignan, up the coast to Monaco. I bet Lowes hairpin on a bike would be awesome and don't forget to bwap it through the tunnel. Then back home across the middle. Sorted for you.

Holidays are for people who don't race. :)

I shall mainly be spending the holiday money on ripping tyres and knee sliders to shreds and sticking my fingers up at Mike Red on the straights :) oh, and burgers!

At the moment, nowhere. We had a pretty good year last year (LV/LA/SF in June, Paris in November, plus weekends away in Manchester and to a country house in Derby, and of course the AR) so this year watching the pennies. Our planned trip with her family to EEBEETZA (whoa! We's going to eebeetza even though we can't pronounce it) has just fallen apart so who knows? Might try and get another cheap trip to Mallorca like a few years ago, rent a bike for a few days and cruise around.

Well moving into our nice big new shiny house at the end of the month. Also, as it happens, getting made redundant at the end of the month. I'm not sure a holiday is going to happen this year. At least not anywhere abroad. We were thinking going State side but I think that's on the back burner for the short term.

Everywhere in the UK... bought a vw transporter (2.5 tdi mofo), converting it into a 2 berth camper and then heading off to the lakes, highlands, cornwall, some bits of wales, maybe even Ireland.. Just need to insulate, wire, ply-line, carpet, install bed, sink, cooker, fridge, cupboards, 2 x side windows, swap passenger bench seat for a single swivel seat, buy an awning and a bike rack....

Should be done by christmas!

A quick trip to the Uk to see my old mum and a few family members and friends is likely. The rest is to remain a little uncertain until next month when I meet a guy who is to put a proposal to me involving his company expanding in to Spain/europe. I will not know until we meet whether my role,(if accepted) will involve foreign travel as this will possibly affect holiday destination plans.

I would love to do a section of Route 66 and The Pacific Highway,(Route 1) on a Harley before too long though.Maybe "boys" vacation with my son.

Last summer I went to Miami for 2 weeks, Grenada in the Carribean for 3 weeks, and LA/San Diego/San Fran and Vegas for 7 weeks. Was the time of my life and gonna do the same again hopefully, but sadly only have 4 weeks this time.

Heading to Orlando at the beginning of May. Staying there for 10 days, then flying out to Miami for 4 days

Awesome place! I literally stayed on South Beach for 2 weeks and did ZERO sight seeing, just went out every night! You'll love the place, and I would tell you the women there are the best Ive ever seen, but you're a gal so never mind (unless..)...lol

2 and a half weeks in July on the west coast of America. will be going to see the usual touristy stuff like golden gate & alcatraz (I really want to hire a car and go bombing over those hills a'la Bullitt ) and hollywood will be done.

We hired a car too LA (those goons love their automatics). From there we drove down to Diego, north to San Fran on the west coast highway (wish I did that with a bike beautiful road) and back down south east to Vegas. Just don't get caught speeding. I did 95mph in a 65mph massive freeway that should be an autobahn and got fined $475 by a sheriff driving down from the other side of the freeway who turned around.

Alcatraz was an absolutely amazing tour. San Francisco is hands down best place in America in my opinion!
Rent a bicycle from down town Fran, cycle round up to the Golden Gate to the other side to get to a beautiful little town called Sausalito. Get some nice sea food dinner there and grab an evening ferry back to the bay harbour, cycle back to your hotel cos the bikes yours for 24hours! It's a 15mile cycle round to the little town but well worth it,best thing I did as well as alcatraz. And the nights are awesome obviously.

I'd give anything to live in San Fran.

Also find a shooting range and get behind an M16 or even heavier artillery and enjoy!
