Sunday 27th midlands rideout to Willingham woods
Hi, I've done this rideout before with a few of you from this forum so I thought I would throw it open to anyone who would like to attend.
It will be an early start and an all day ride.
I plan to meet at 9.00am at Bikers World, coleshill.
The destination is Willingham Woods in Lincolnshire (colse to market rasen) it will take in all the twisties we can find en-route at a good pace.
We plan to stop for breakfast at Mcdonalds Nr Market Harborough on the A6 at about 10.00am and then head for willy woods.
You are more than welcome to join us.
Cheers,
Veefer.

I was thinking the same mate, I guessed since you hadn't posted anything, you had something planned with Clair this weekend.
I wasn't sure about the weather, or what I was going to do anyway. The speedo broke on the Daytona during the week, and it goes so fast so easily and I'm not used to it yet, so I really wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 60mph and 80mph on it and my sat nav has no way of mounting it yet, and I haven't fitted a power socket yet (battery lasts 30 minutes if I'm lucky).
I thought about a bit of green laning, but like I said, I guessed you were busy. I was dead busy yesterday with chores anyway, inculding whipping the front wheel off the Daytona to find what the problem was.
There is a bike show on in Bedford today, think I'm going to go along to that and take Sandrine and Euan along. It's one of these bike safety events and they have a "come along and try biking" section, so I'm going to try and get Sandrine on a CG125 and see if I can get her hooked ;) she's not enjoying pillion so much nowadays, since we had Euan she is scared to have two parents on one bike.

You cant blame your missus for thinking like that i guess, its a increased risk at the end of the day.
Im hoping to get clair on two wheels in the future but she has no balance whatsoever or any desire about speed etc so we will see.

Well she got 1/2 hour of tuition on a YBR125 today and came off with a massive grin on her face. Didn't manage to get her to sign up for her CBT there and then, but she did enjoy it and she is thinking about it. I basically dragged her up, put her name down, stuck a helmet on her head, and pushed her towards the bike, but she's glad I did. :D

So how was it for those who did go on this rideout today?
Well all I can say is fooking awsome day out, 350 miles at a cracking pace with some great company.
Willy woods was looking dodgy weatherwise so we went to abergaveny via Brecon via Llandovery via Buith wells via Cross gates via Leominster via Worcester via Stratford. 13 bikes in all with gixxermatt on his virgin rideout, I think he enjoyed himself a little bit!
Did old CogHead go out at all on his highly reliable Ducati?

I did almost exactly the same route as this yesterday as well. FFS if I had known you were doing this ride I'd have tagged along?
Did you go to the bus station in Abergaveny? If so what time were you there?
left there about 4.00pm, but we didn't decide to go there until meeting in the morning, as the post title read we were suposed to be going to willy woods but weather looked ****e, just the way it goes sometimes.
Gixxermatt, i'm glad you enjoyed it so much. It's how the the big guns roll !!!
You muct have been doing a hell of a pace to manage 350 miles on those roads. I only did about 250 and wa out from 9 till 6.
Did stop a lot to warm up though, was bluumin freezing on them hills.

Makes me wish I'd have come out even more now. The group I went with were a right bunch of old ladies. Had to stop and wait every junction watching all the cars I had just overtaken go by :hackedoff:
