Hello Madlanders, I need your advice...

My mate has just returned to the UK from a winter away with the England cricket team and his K7 650 Sport is about as useful as our bowling attack was on Saturday. The bike has been left sadly neglected in the garage for nearly a year - his excuse is that he was busy masterminding an Ashes win. Pah!

Now he's got a month off he wants to get it running again. Basically it is dead and needs some TLC. It also needs new tyres as he's still got the originals on from when new and they are rubbish.

Can you recommend anywhere near Warwick that could pick the bike up and give it a service and overhaul. Once that is done, a good tyre dealer is required. I've recommended the Avon Strom Ultras - but any others worth a look?

You local knowledge is most welcome.

Thanks

LPH

Not sure how far away from you but I always use Sutton motorcycles in Tamworth.

The only other decent one I know is Bikersworld in Coleshill that has a new tyre centre as well.

I have been using this guy for the past couple of years. Seems like a genuine bloke and prices are reasonable

I've used the above

They always have some great deals (ring them) and their regular prices are some of best in the UK for ride in - ride out

Just one tip - check the pressures and the torque setting on the spindle nut when you get home. Oh, that's how the do it in ten minutes then....
