thanks verry helpfull not seen that second one before will have to see if i can find a second hand one as i dont have a spare 100 at the moment

No problem, the NWS will be very had to find 2nd hand and are as rare as hens teeth.

They went out of business and were bought by Pyramid plastics I think, so they've only just start again, but no one I know has bought one recently, but the website seems active

More chance of getting an ABBA, but they hold their value too

From the research I've done, there is no better stand.

NWS have not taken the stands down from the website, however they have only continued the plastics side of the business. They no longer make the stands. I have tried finding 2nd hand for a long time, and they rarely appear, as you have said.

Another option if you have the time and the skill, would be to find someone that has an NWS and fabricate your own taking measurements from theirs. You can get the spikes that fit the swing arm pivots as spares from some of the other companies that make swing-arm pivot stands.
