I need to plan a rideout with some mates, starting in Dublin, finishing in Belfast, taking in some of the southern and central ROI. Probably totalling 250-300 miles for the full day.

Good roads, stunning scenery (did Antrim and Donegal coast last year and I'd be very happy of that can possibly be beaten further south), and any tourist attractions worth visiting on the way (for instance last year we visited the Giants Causeway)

I don't mind a motorway or boring fast main road hack to get North into Belfast for 6pm, if the roads we were riding at 4pm made that journey worth it.

There are a lot of single track roads in ROI, would like to try to avoid too many of these with two litre sportbikes, a GS and a Harley Softtail, unless again the scenery or tourist attraction makes it worth it.

Will start the day by heading out of Dublin and heading for the Wicklow Mountains, after that I have no idea.

Would like to try and stick to the ROI this year until we are on our way back to Belfast in the evening, as we saw a fair bit of NI last year.

Any recommendations appreciated!

Also any good restaurants, pubs and clubs for the middle aged male in Dublin and Belfast (I will google them to make sure they are not gay bars!)

Thanks

Here's the kind of thing I'm talking about, but unfortunately it's way too far from Belfast. :-(

if you fancy a long diversion the ring of kerry is nice, but if you do castlemaine to tralee , its a beautiful road and view .. and that was on a zxr 750 , not the worlds greatest tourer!!

We are off round southern Ireland at the end of May!
Starting in Cork, heading towards Dingle then up the conor pass, making our way to Dublin then back down the Coast to Wexford, etc before returning to Cork the following week for the Ferry home! Can't wait!!! x
