Is anyone else planning on going to this? I watch all the threads and know there might be some other mass rides on this weekend which I'd like to join in with but this spans over three days and wondered about meeting up at it or anything and would be nice to see a load of SV's together as I seem to be on my tod a most of these events or local ride outs.

Been to this the last 3 years. Good day/days out. Also do the Bike nights every wednesday in Paignton - not sure when they start this year. Plymouth has a Bike Night 1st Thursday in the month IIRC on the Hoe. £1 per person in aid of Help for Heroes. :D

Yep, I'll be going, hopefully along with my dad if we get his bike together for then.

June 1st (http://www.bmad.co.uk/bikenights.html) is planned to be the first BMAD bike night.

BUMP

I know it'll be the weekend now when I ride down, either the Saturday or the Sunday with my mate whos just passed his bike test today on his ER6-N so it'll be a gentle ride down and if anyone knows any good roads down that way to show him on ... 'Rookie safe' I don't want to see him plumet off a cliff or the pier into the ocean, I've not been riding long but seeing him ride his today made me realise how far I've come in the past 3 months.

Should try and start a regular meet/ride for the Paignton nights.
Am yet to make it to either the Paignton or the Plymouth nights. :(
But I am tempted to check out the Bike festival

Looks like I'll be going on the Sunday due to family stuff. On the plus side the weather is forecast to be better for Sunday.

Well I think when I go I'll be coming A382>A380 as its a pretty direct and a nice route going over Dartmoor probably with my mate whos just recently passed so won't be in any kind of rush. That routes miles out your way though Dan so probably for me it'd be meet you there. It might be Friday though for us now haha. Looking at the weather it says rain Friday Morning, Showers through Saturday and Cloudy and colder on the Sunday. All I'm thinking is weekend traffic if it is nice weather it'll be thicker than pig sh!t heading to the beach and depending what time we leave pretty thick too. Last weekend we tried to ride out Exmouth way and was crusing at 40's in 60's in solid traffic and 25's in 20's and people weren't willing to give the bike the room either.

So thinking Friday, earlish making a call when its about 9 with how the weather looks with a small ride out somewhere on the way home taking the long way.

Just can't imagine a dramatic turn for the worst looking out the window is all *touch wood* I'm sure there will be people going but who knows we might meet some younger people there. No offence to you older folk but its nicer to know people your own age. See in the morning looking out the window but its really an I don't know at all yet situation

Also on a side note its your 1000th post next Dan

The weather has changed now i think for the better. However you are aware that on the friday it starts at 1pm. Not sure its a full normal festival day on the friday or not.

Also on a side note its your 1000th post next Dan

Guess i better make it a memorable post then :smt069

Was a good trip out....despite the rain. I took the twisty route there and back, it thoroughly made up for rain. Still think the stunt guy should have done all those tricks on an SV :p

Just looked, it was me that had your number down wrong you had given me the right one on here previously, So thats easily my bad! Also Huwbee was that you who was talking to me at the lights on the pedestrian crossing either way I'm freaked out a little.

And SV on that was wet grass, he'd have easily been doing the doughnuts ;D Still I think we should've pimped out the donkeys ;)

The weather was so temperamental. Watching the guy trying to do the stunt riding on the wet grass was entertaining though.....even if he was wearing lycra:rolleyes:
Posting up the pics?

I went today, it was overcast and very windy but apart from a tiny shower at lunch time it was dry. Thanks to the wind and large waves my poor bike was covered in salt by the end of the day though. Apart from that I enjoyed it, managed to pick up a pair of armoured kevlar jeans for a good price and met a few people from work.

Did anyone see the pointy in the display ground with the fancy paintwork that looked a bit like marble? The paint looked great, but the rest of the bike was in a terrible state; easily the most corroded fork legs I've seen on an SV.

Yeh, think we saw it. Was it the one with an amusing sticker on the side panel under the seat on the RHS?

I saw it but just its a pointy so in no way would my eyes accept its beauty unless ofcourse it was yellow then I might've given it a few brownie points ;)
