Hi everyone,

I'm Hazel, I'm 28 and from Eastleigh. Just joined the site after buying my first big bike, a blue K6 sv650s. Passed my test a few days ago and am now waiting for my bike to get lowered tomorrow morning then hopefully going for my first spin in the afternoon! Really looking forward to going out without an instructor/examiner watching my every move and enjoying the sense of freedom again!

May need some advice on good roads and meets in the area soon!

Hello from Fareham,
If you want a good road - follow the A272 from Winchester to Petworth. There is also Loomies Cafe (A272/A32 crossroad) which is packed with bikers at the weekends.
Enjoy the freedom. Ride safe.

Hello and welcome to the madhouse! I passed a few days ago too, great feeling isn't it  And you're right about the freedom without someone who knows better breathing down your neck....Well done, the road needs more biker burds ;)

Ah good, another small person to join the special lowered SV club. Never mind the roads down there - you've got the world's best sweet shop in Lyndhurst so any ride should pass through there.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Had a brilliant weekend bonding with the bike and getting used to the new riding position, trained on a Kwak ER-5, very different but love it now! Even looking forward to my commute to work in the morning!

@Quedos: I'll check the GMIV out and see what I can do.

Welcome to the Asylum, and do beware of the Bear.

If you're quick I think there's still one place in the girlie bunkhouse for the Annual Rideout (AR11) at the beginning of August. Failing that there's masses of space to pitch your tent, and I'd imagine there will be a group riding up from somewhere near you.

Keith.

P.S. GMIV (Glencoe Massacre IV) is a sod of a long way.

ho do, welcome from another local, pleanty of good roads around our parts, i live bournemouth way more, and ould highly suggest going out the back of salisbury towards shaftesbury, down zig zag hill, great ride,

Also go down to poole, accross on the chain ferry and shoot around the perbecks, great roads, and views.

Not that i have been back on 2 wheels for long, but there always was plenty of good ride outs organised by the Org, go say hellow in south west surfers section if you havn't already.

Ride safe.

I'm surprised this didn't read "failing that there's masses of space left in the boys' bunkhouse"

As for Badgers - did you step in to rescue me from The Bear in Soho the other week Mr BBadger - no you didn't! So that makes you an accessory to gropage.
