So- I live in Crewe- Home of Bentley .. and here in Crewe- as Mr C will testify we see Bentleys all the time.. riding around being test driven or driven off by their new owners etc.. so it does not impress us much (as Shania Twain might say)

However . the other day as I was going to the tip... irony that Bentley factory is next to the tip and one of the crappiest estates in Crewe.. NOT the best impression for anyone picking up a new 250K car. .

I digress..

other day on way to tip .. I saw this..

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b326/sigourneysbeaver/offiphoneApril2010416.jpg

waiting at the lights and took a pic. to prove to Matt SV that we do have Bentleys here all the time as when he comes up to see us we never see any - I even took him to the factory and there was not one in sight and the big show window was empty .. something he ribs me about all the time..

so I saw that and thought after I been tip I will send him this pic and pop to the factory .. well..

saw these outside..

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b326/sigourneysbeaver/offiphoneApril2010483.jpg

then THIS..

now, what do you think??

if I won the lottery I have always said to Mand we should buy a Bentley and do the whole of the coast of the UK.. now I think we would do it in THIS.

Matt SV does not agree.. he said something containing expletives.. ha

Bit chavvy that innit. Don't think the shadow of the idiot taking the pic helps in the last 1 neither :)

Inside Bentley''s reception is absolutely gorgeous too, it's like a bloody hotel, must be awesome to work there.

It looks like they have copied the Porsche GT3RS very badly. But they need to appeal to their target audience of Footballers and Essex nightclub owners.

Would suit Rooney & the football mob, not for me tho, makes it look cheap & like Paul says "chavvy". You can tell it has been bought by a German company trying to make it a mass market vehicle.

Call me old fashioned, but that's not what Bentley is about.

Never been a huge fan of the continental GTs you have mainly photographed, they can be had for pretty cheap now on the used Market...£40 to £50k for early ones. The GT Speed/ supersports are impressive engineering though.

Bentley is to 'cheshire' and footballers wives now.

Wouldn't want to be going down the tip with tins of paint in it Quiff!

Bentley should be all about understated class - there is nothing understated or classy about that one!

I get to drive a GT on a track on Wednesday - and a DB9, which is better - there is only one way to find out...

oh yea Bentleys round here are commonplace but second only to Audi TT convertibles.. as the Bentley employees have an option to have Audis very cheaply and deducted from their salaries monthly.

Chavvy in the extreme, it looks like it's been dragged out of the late 80s with those gash red graphics.

On the subject of not seeing any Bentleys in Crewe when you wanted to - I stayed overnight in Modena, home of Ferrari last September. I was there for about 15 hours all told and took a long ride and walk around the town. I didn't see one Ferrari in that whole time, not even at the factory. Had the same happen on a weekday in Newport Pagnell, home of Aston Martin. I live about 10 miles away and many's the time I've driven past and seen only Mondeos or Granadas (this was some time ago) parked outside

I've seen quite a few razzle dazzle Jags as work in coventry not far from the Jag plant.

Also seen a few Astons round by Gaydon.

Around Gaydon you see Jags, Astons and Land Rovers all with odd covers and strange stripes driving around all the time.

It makes me laugh when you read Autocar and they have have "exclusive, leaked undercover pictures" of cars anyone can see driving around public roads.
