Things you want (or must) do before you shift off terra firma.
Some of mine are easily achievable, others require input of mucho wonga
I've seen people who've passed away, who've never done anything interesting or unusual (when they've been able to) or they've passed away to young to do these things.
I may not achieve all of these, but its good to have goals & dreams.
So here's a some I can think of.
1. See killer whales in the wild (no captive ones thank you)
2. see the Northern lights
3. Visit Kennedy Space centre
4. Transit the Panama Canal on a ship
5. Take the Orient Express
6. Cycle up Alpe D'huez
7. Go to the TT again (haven't been since 83)
8. Travel across Canada by train
9. Swim with sharks (i'll be in a cage :p)
10. Visit New York (don't really know why)
11. ?
All of mine revolved around sex and the U ratings prevents me from saying what they were. Suffice to say mission accomplished and the mother usually makes a better breakfast than her daughter.

4. Take my mom Lourdes and watch her face when she gets there
5. Ride dirt-bikes in Sicily with my two sons in the woods
6. Ride overland to England and back on a Honda CBR 954 2002
7. Stay in love for the rest of my life and not get hurt (too much)
8. Forget what needs forgetting and remember what is worth remembering
9. Have the people around me respect me for what I am and not for what they expect me to be

Yes, no 9 is the most important to achieve, plus keep drawing the pension for as long as you can
I'll add your 6, 7 & 8 to my list, although my missus isn't keen on long haul flights

10. Die in peace
Some of us share the same romantic specs:cool:
I'd like to go to the Mayan Temple Chichen Itza, and watch the serpent climb the stairs and try solving the mystery of the Olmec heads.
As well as that I'd like to visit the Inca city of Macha Pichu.
Obviously touring the world on a bike would be marvellous, as long as its not a Harley:smt019
Oh...and for everyone to feel the lurve, because theres enough here for everyone
i have no complaints about my x rated exploits, i think however if i tried some of it now i'd put my back out.. but i digress...

12. Visit Machu Picchu
Its getting longer
11. Go to the NW200
12. Be deported from a country (preferably the USA)
Been there done that:
NW200 - 2002
It wasn't really a deportation, more of a 'please leave as you're not meant to be here'.
Escorted to the border and passed over to US officials from Canada - 1997. I got lost while driving one Sunday up by the lakes and ended up crossing the border without realising. Asked a local copper for directions and when I saw his badges etc I realised I'd entered Canada illegally without knowing. I fessed up about not having gone through a customs point and not having my passport with me and asked him to show me the way back to the US border, so he took me and explained to the US officials so it wouldn't cause too much bother. The US officials weren't too impressed and I was held in custody for a couple of hours while they checked out if I was even meant to be in the US at that time.
Mine is simple
I'd like to die knowing I did all I could and not regret anything I've done.

Its always better to regret something you have done to regretting something you haven't.
I'll have to think about my list.

I'm sure theres plenty I've done that I regret doing, but not because they are bad things, its because they've been good things, and not had the result they should have:(
If that makes sense?
But alas, better to regret than not at all!
Always treat people like you'd want yourself treated.....even if it gets thrown back in your face, or you get shat on from a great height!

I mean atone for all the regrettable things I have done by doing something good somewhere else. Over the past few years I've been righting some wrongs I committed in one way or another. It's a karma thing and at present I have good karma - I don't owe anyone any favours or hold myself responsible for anything bad any more.
5. Swim with Dolphins (not sharks, jeez?)
My Ex done that, swam with SHARKS that is. She loved every monute of it as well. *Dont wave your arms around, she was told, so she sat there waving her arms around.
For me, my list is short.
1. Find a woman
2. Live happily ever after
All the other things are just stuff. If you can afford it or the oppurtunity presents itself, do it.
