Yep, some clown has put my back windscreen through. CCTV with the idiots doing it on, and i doubt the police will catch them and if they do will get £1.50 back a week for the next X amount of years lovely. Thank you scrouts, costing me £200 for a 2nd hand screen and to get the chips fixed. Great i have to work 3 days to pay for it. Properly annoyed, could do without this.

To be fair, they probably thought the sheepskin car seat cover was on of their girlfriends and that you were kidnapping her.

:)

Hope that made you smile after this bit of bad news :)

yeah. It's not like it's a £20 wing mirror off ebay though. That's whats annoying me and the only time in my life i'm gonna need the police, they can't go and vigilante beat the idiots who will be at home playing on their PS3 off their heads on weed as we speak.

Its Cardiff - finding oikes isn't hard, finding the right ones is the trick :p

I am properly annoyed right now. I will be awaiting a phone call back fcrom plod. According to my brother who was driving the car at the time, clear views of faces on CCTV so hopefully should be cut and dry to get my £1.50 a week back out of their benefits for the next 20 years.

Worse it's the scum town of newport. Which might as well be cardiff because it's a useless $h*te hole.

You don't work for the Newport/Cardiff tourism board do you? ;)

But in all seriousness that sucks. The common explanation for kids vandalising is that theyre bored. Hmm i'll give you something to do.....see how fast you can run while I chase you with this sledgehammer :smt021 ****ers

Part of me thinks the courts should have the power to send some heavies round and put the offenders rear windscreen through.
Perhaps they might learn how mindless criminal damage effects people but tbh i suspect most people who commit such crimes would probably feel no remorse anyway.

What? Cardiff might as well be Newport?! Not quite, and I think the location on your profile proves it! I'd expect to get my windows smashed in / wing mirrors clipped / wheels nicked in newport but not Cardiff. More likely to get hit by a trolley by a student in Cardiff!

Sorry to hear aboutn the window though! You able to put the motor somewhere more secure?

That sucks! I've lost a wing mirror and as you say £20 isnt far off what that cost to replace but £200 for a rear window properly blows! Are you not fully comp? if you are I know its much cheaper to get it replaced through there and it doesnt effect your no claims etc.

I went to Newport for the first time on Saturday after the Cardiff/QPR game, and from what I saw, it's fair to say that recent economic history has not been kind to the place. It is as they say a dump. (If it happened on Saturday, I promise it wasn't me)

Mind you, I know how you feel fallenangel, I'm lucky enough to live in a nice part of sleepy Surrey and toe rags did my door window a few weeks back to break in, and bust my aerial a few weeks before. It's not exclusive to South Wales, ****ing toe rags I hate em.

Sorry to hear this. My car's been hit while parked three times, keyed, antennas snapped off several times, badges levered off, garage door kicked, bricks torn out of wall, etc etc etc etc.

The police can't do anything, but you can be sure they'd do you if you went and stoved one of these chavs' heads in with a shovel, even if they'd secretly admit as they threw you in the van that you'd just done the world a favour.

Half tempted to phone up and refuse to pay my council tax until they put the £147 i've just paid a breaker for a new windscreen and the £50 it's gonna take to get the scratches out in my hand.

If I refused to pay my council tax every time I've become a victim of crime, I'd have enough for two weeks in Barbados. If I added in hitting a pothole, I could probably retire there.
