View Full Version : Selling my 2002 Curvey 650S
REDUCED TO £1250.00 AS I HAVE FOUND SOMETHING ELSE I WANT TO BUY!!!
* Suzuki SV650S
* Registered 20/04/2002 so an '02' Reg
* 5965 miles (may go up a tad)
* 3 owners total
* Candy Blue
* MOT to September 2011, tax to February 2012
* HPI Check Clear (checked before purchase and no change since!)
* Blue Flame Exhaust (legal and e-marked, original comes with bike too)
I have owned this bike just over 2 years and have only done around 500 miles as it hurts my back. I purchased a more suitable bike soon after but couldn't bring myself to sell this one. A bit of time riding over Easter has reminded me about my back issues and it is the right time of year to sell if I am going to do so.
The bike comes with a good bit of history to back-up the mileage (including all but one old MOT certificate) and runs/rides perfectly. There are a few little cosmetics but in fairness it is very nice for a 2002 bike. The front forks are a little corroded externally, the grab handle has been damaged at some point, there is a scratch/dent on the right side of the tank caused by a bicycle falling on it and the engine casings have some surface rust/bubbling. I have tried to show these things in the photos added. That aside there is nothing worth noting.
There are no stories, please e-mail me for further details and to arrange a viewing. I work shifts so be patient if I don't answer immediately. If you are looking for one of these popular and fun machines you will not be disappointed by this example.
A shameless bump but also an invite to comment.
Maybe I'm just too dear to start with? Have advertised it in several places with little interest so far; seems odd when arguably lesser examples are being bid to similar prices on e-Bay and still not meeting reserve.
Anyhow, still for sale and the sale price won't be a reason for falling out as the bike really needs to go due to my back problem.
If anyone can hold my hand regarding how to put pics here I would much appreciate that too???

Hi Bud - Sounds like you're inviting comments? If so, and if I were you, I'd drop the price and stick to £1500 firm (no negotiations) and stick the original exhaust on it. Sell the cowl and fancy exhaust seperately to make up for any defecit. :)

Instigator, thanks for your comments, yes I'm more than happy to hear them. I am off 5 days over next weekend so see how it goes.
ImplodedHamster, many thanks for the link but also a big thanks to G who took control and put my photos up from Pistonheads before I got the chance!
The bike is very much for sale, I have now found a Gladius which stirs my interest so if anyone really is after a decent Curvey please get in touch.
Price should not be the issue, I am willing to discuss serious offers.
Well, I know it's only been a few days but there seems to be little interest so I can only surmise that I'm asking too much!
With that in mind (and the fact that I now have my eye on another bike for which my Mrs will be deeply unhappy...) I am reducing my asking price to £1500.00.
This must be something of a bargain for a new rider?
Hi.
I'm interested in the bike, also very suprised that no one else is??
Where abouts are you located?
Cheers
Shameless bump for the weekend.
I have now found 3 bikes which interest me (a Gladius, a 2008 SVn and a 2002 SVn) and need to make a quick sale IF I am going for the Gladius, which I am leaning towards. The other two are cheaper so not so desperate to sell mine but space would be handy!
I am asking only £1250.00 which really grates when I see what's out there but someone is going to get a cracking bike at my expense; I just need to bargain harder on my purchase!
Any thoughts? Am I mad? :clown:
Bike snapped up by first to view; a real bargain for the lad but he's a nice kid and will look after it I'm sure.
Not yet mate but hopefully will be. Doing his Module 1 tommorrow, just home from putting it in his folk's garage.
He found it on my e-Bay Classified Ad, had quite a response from that to be honest, a few wanted to view but he was local-ish.
Does that mean that it's now Gladius time? :)
Ebay classified seem to be they way forwards... the guy that bought my Hypermotard had his RSV4R on there for a couple of days and sold it.
Does that mean that it's now Gladius time? :)
I think so but am taking a chill pill as I've rushed into things before and regretted it!
Don't want to miss the cracking priced Red one I found (60-plate with 1200 miles for £3500) but looking into what mods/colour/painting might be involved and whether I really need to start with a Black one. Been looking at modded ones on SVRider.com so lots to chew over there...... :confused:

That's one hell of an offer though.....but red would be a slight downside for me personally. I love them in blue and white :D
