Hi guys.

I have a listing on Ebay at the moment for my old guitar amp and cab combo.

It is two seperate items (the amp, and the speaker cab) which are listed on one add.

I have had two emails from two seperate buyers, one looking for the amp, and other looking for the cab.

Am i able to stop the auction and sell the two items seperatly under ebays T&C's?

If so how do i go about it? i am a bit of a ebay novice tbh

Cheers

Yes, end item early as there was a mistake in the listing.

Then relist seperately

Well, you will get the listing fee back for your original listing, then you'll pay for each seperate lising, unless you agree with your two seperate buyers not to list the items again.

Then there won't be any fees, if your buyers pay you

that is against ebay rules is it not? i cant email the buyers through ebay and arrange two private sales can i?

Yes, it probably is against Ebay rules, but if you contact your buyers before you end the item and let them have your email address, then you can sort it outside EBAY.

They can't really stop you doing this, and Ebay doesn't have its own Police force to arrest you after you've done this ;)

But I'd ensure they paid with PAYPAL or some other secure form of payment protection for both parties.

Plenty of people end listing early after getting an offer, but its not something I do, because I'll often make more by letting the auction run.

Thats cool, i am not worried about gett arrested or anything! :) just dont want to be done for breach of contract or anything like that! dont know how tight they are on it!

I dont know what to do, as i only put the listing on last night and already i have these two people intrested! i think i will let it run over the weekend and hopefully get some more intrest.

If you've got lots of people watching your listing, then I'd leave it, as usually means you'll get lots of bids toward the end of the auction.

You can see the number of watchers in the selling section of 'My Ebay'

Top tips for Ebay
1. List items seperately (its a pain I know)
2. List them on a Thursday evening on a 10 day listing, which means they finish Sunday evening, which statistically the best time for best selling price (unless there is a free listing weekend, so have a 7 day listing)

what would you class as loads of people watching? i know that it will be item specific to a point. I have 5 watchers so far, inc the two that have emailed me.

5 watchers is nothing Jimmy , that could be people with a similar item that they are gonna sell and are monitoring your sale to see how it ends and if it`s worth putting theirs up . I just sold an Ashdown 500 watt Bass Head on eBay , that had 40 watchers on it , only 2 people emailed me , then when it sold they all decided they wanted it and would give me more money for it ....... Idiots , it was on a "Buy it Now" as well so why the need to watch for 7 days ?

i didn't think 5 was many, but not a bad start hopefully after just 12 hrs of being on there! we shall see i will give it the weekend and see how she goes.

I have always thort i should use ebay more, only ever used it to buy, sold a couple of things last year but not much really!!!

I made £700 this week on stuff I no longer used or wanted anymore , all heading towards a savings account for some KTM flavoured fun next year

5 isn't too bad after 12hrs, see how many you've got after the weekend, but once a bid is placed, its harder to end the item I think.
