Can anyone help, i am supposed to be moving house tomorrow and just come to start my SV650S (curvy model) and when i press the button nothing happens. I have located the problem to the wiring loom in the fairing but my haynes is packed away somewhere. So can anyone tell me the colours of the wires from the starter button?
Many thanks, Tony
1st check the kill switch isn't off.
2nd, turn it on, put it in second gear and bump start it.

Kill switch is definately off, and I can get it to start intermittantly, but when you wiggle the wiring loom it either works or it does not, so there is a fault in the loom and everytime i put the fairing back on it stops working so i need to find the dodgy wire, however i cannot trace it easily without knowing what colour the wires are.

Probably not in the starter button wire, more likely in the main ignition live which feeds starter button when you press switch.
Orange w black trace runs from sidestand relay to the RHS switch gear, to the kill switch, then orange-white comes out of kill switch and goes to front coil, rear coil and ICU

Many many thanks for all your help. Tony
