It means that it is curved in more than one direction

Standard visors are like taking a slice out of a pipe, the 3d ones more like taking a slice out of a ball.

ive never noticed the need for a greater field of vision and if its different, you would end up with a raging headache if im not mistaken?

Erm you have a greater field of vision everytime you take your lid off.

Are you saying that you don't notice a restriction when you put it on?
