New boots

Going down for some new boots this morning before I do the Scotland tour and Just wondered if anybody would be interested in a set of part worn Pirrelli Corsa 111 120/70-17 front and 180/55 rear,no punctures or defects,not squared off.I believe they will fit on an SV's rims They still have a good couple of thousand miles,or more in them so it would be a pity to bin them,offers around £40 if somebody fancies trying a bit of different rubber if slightly different profile. They are a common size for a lot of bikes so not just for the SV owners
The only reason for changing is I have a deal on some Michelin and they would be at the end of their life when I am giving it big licks on the way home to Essex and I am a bit of a pedant regarding machinery that only has two wheels on the road

These are not the old twin compound or the new triple compound but the new Pilot Road,similar in appearance to the old Pilot Road but the bracing is now kevlar and a new compound which with the reduction in tyre pressure[32psi front/36psi rear] is supposed to heat up quicker and give prolonged mileage
Not a full blown sports tyre like the Corsa111 but more touring orientated being a bit stiffer in the carcase.
Just a matter of chew it and see but first impression is that it is very neutral as in not needing the amount of counter-steer as was required with the Corsa111 and a much smoother ride,possible due to the reduced tyre pressure

I have my wheels sitting in the garage with new PR3's fitted on Tuesday, just about to go fit them to the bike, and maybe do some scrubbing in for 1/2 hour before I have to collect my son from Nursery.

The one I use in Brentwood,the price is £200 but you get a £25 fuel voucher from Michelin during May,June and July so in theory they cost £175.

Best deal I could find for a good quality tyre.
