It's not as if it would have been difficult to avoid, camera bike looked target fixated a quick Module 1 swerve test could have been used.

nah, probably wasnt expecting an accident in the pit lane exit. It looks like he didnt even notice what was happening until the bike flipped out from the barrier.

**** happens I guess

The guy trying to put his side stand up wasn't bloody looking where he was going, I thought at first the stand had dug in the ground but I'm not sure it done anything, the crash was a result of him not looking until too late.

This crash was his own fault for being too close.
Ok the Muppet forgot his side stand and paid the price.
But had you not been up his ass, you could have Easley avoided going over his bike and falling off your self.
Besides that, you hit him, so its your fault anyway. Insurance point of view.

Doesn’t matter where, if I fell off by being a muppet last thing I would expect is someone to run over me or the bike cos they were too close, and then blaming me…..

well technically they never made it that far, lol. hahaha

And I`m worried about binning it on a rack day. Thank u useless person, that has made me feel much better about doing one, even if i do bin it, i`m sure i will be going a bit faster than that so i`ll have a little cred to hold onto :)

Plus with the amount of time he was buggering about trying to kick it up he could have braked.

You crashing into them or them crashing into you ?.
either way quick Module 1 swerve test could have been used.
i always thought the rule was dont crash into anyone...

Its a turn, not a swerve test.

Why do people feel the need to analyse this stuff to death anyway, he crashed, thats it. Bloke doesnt expect it, he crashes too. No biggy.

Na the side stand is grinding on the floor as he is trying to turn left, can see the White trail it leaves on the Tarmac. But yeah should have got on the brakes

Totally agree. It's all too easy to sit here and criticize both riders and laugh at why they crashed and what they did wrong.
I bet everyone watched that clip more than once before posting their view on it though, unfortunately the rider didn't have that luxury.

LOL... No one is 'analysing it to death', just making light of amusing nooby mistakes (side stand and not looking where your going) everyones done it at the end of the day, it's just not ended up so dramatically.

It's a trackbike and if he's anything like me he's junked all the roadbike crap that's not needed any more... like sidestand switches and all redundant wiring.

Thanks for posting this up, it's made me more aware of the fact I need to check my stand before I pull out of the pits when the CBR is back in action.

If it is track bike then surely stand is no problem 'cos it's left leant up against the side of the van when you go out :-P

I don't bother with that crap on road bikes either.
I bet he won't do it again! :)

Track bike = leave the stand on cos it makes life easier.

Race bike = take stand off cos the regs say you have to.

The guy at the front of that group with the No Limits leathers is my mate Danny Imberg who I spanner for on his new ZX6R, the black and blue bike following him out onto the track is our old championship winning Daytona 675 race bike - Ex Olli Linsdell Manx GP and NW200 winner.

that's an embarrassing fail. I remember doing the opposite at Brands, jumping off the bike and forgetting to put the stand down. Over it went in front of group 3 lining up to go out. Kept the lid on until my blushes went!
