Just bought the HJC R-PHA10 (same as what Ben Spies wears), firstly I thought when purchasing a helmet to replace my RSR2 Carbon that all I knew is I didn't want a HJC helmet, I tried on-

Roof - not much padding and not the most comfortable.
Lazer - Didn;t fit.
Shoei - fit but out of my price range
X-Lite - didn't fit.
Bell - didn't fit
Shark - did fit but couldn't justify a step back in quality
Arai - Lovelly fit but could only afford the base model and that was £310 or £260 without spare visor box or bag.
HJC - tried on reluctantly, fit was about 97% the same as Arai, it was the quietest, the lightest at 1200g, linner was the plushest, and it's the top of the range and for £260 I got a clear, 30% tint and dark visors, pinlock, visor care kit, bag and box , it's so much more stable compared to my rsr2 and I don't get any turbulance in the helmet no wind in my eye which is new, and without the pinlock obvously the visor mists a bit at standstill but the moment I moved off it cleared so the ventillation is the best I've come across and i've owned a Shoei, AGV and a Shark.

So I'm a converted man.

I've recently got the same lid except in the 2010 Ben Spies rep colours. Lovely fitting helmet (for me) and I was surprised with the amount of accessories it came with. I've yet to use it though, bike isn't back on the road yet. :(

Tried on a few helmets over the weekend and I had never given HJC a second look before. I tried one on and it was a very nice helmet. I would certainly consider for my next lid.

We have them at work...they are AMAZING. I'm seriously considering one for my next helmet instead of an XR1100. They are just obscenely light and comfortable and I love them...except for the raised badge on the plain coloured ones, and the (current) lack of simple designs coming through Oxprod.

My favourite is the Jerez (Linky (http://www.hjc-europe.eu/fileadmin/images/helmets/big/INT_RPHA10_JEREZ_MC5_big.jpg)) which has FREAKIN' GLOWIN' BITS (http://www.hjc-europe.eu/fileadmin/images/helmets/big/INT_RPHA10_JEREZ_PHOSFO2_big.jpg) and I want it. Lovely lovely helmet.

Used it for the first time this week, lovely lovely helmet. Not too noisy in terms of wind, can definitely hear the bike though. The vents work very well, I was especially impressed with the vents on the top of the helmet which let a noticeable cool stream of air across the top of your head (more than what my old Shark did). No aches or tension anywhere on my head after the 2 hours of use. Lovely lid.

I've had two HQ-1s, the first I crashed in and it did the job really well, as I smacked my head into the road but didn't even have a headache. So I got another which is now 4 years and 30K miles old, so coming up for replacement. Lovely looking thing to...

Just bought reluctantly a HJC IS-16. Its not a particularly expensive helmet, and I usually buy Sharks.
As I have a small noggin, Shark lids seem to be very hit and miss in the fit department. I've had two identical models, and two different sizes.

I got an XSmall HJC, and am yet to find out how 'loud' it is, the Sharks were always loud, so I have that to compare to. What swung it was a) they had my size b) it came with the flip down sun visor inside b) it was 20 quid cheaper than the equivalent Shark, and the sun visor didn't bang my nose, when flipping it down.

On first looks, it seems a very good value for money helmet.....we shall see it an hours time!
