Hi guys I have a 2007 (57 plate) sv650s. I am considering getting an m4 slip on exhaust for it but I don't want to alter my 33 bhp restriction. Has anyone been in this position? Because I have no idea how the slip on would effect the bike other than sound! Cheers
No, it barely makes any difference to an unrestricted bike so it's not going to do anything except make a bit more noise on a restricted one.

I'm on 33bhp (only until August, counting down the days :D) and my aftermarket exhaust doesnt seem to make much difference to when I put the stock one on for the MOT. Just get it is what I say, there wont be much difference to power, you won't notice much/any change in performance. But you'll be letting that v-twin roar like it's supposed to. The noise is very much worth it. And also looks better without that huge tree trunk of a stock exhaust, which also weighs a ton compared to my aftermarket can. Advantages to be gained.
