whats the damage to the fairing?
Also if on budget and you are not intending selling, dont be too precious about colour matching

Unfortunately although that fairing is still blue, its the only perfect one I have - the original one from the bike still needs repairing, and the cheap one I got and repaired is now black and on the bike. The damage was to the area to the side of the headlight (cracked right across from the top of the light round the side). I repaired that myself (its not brilliant on the back, but no-one sees that :)

yeah i'd be looking to sell the fairing i have, it has a few cracks but i think they would be repairable, my SV is blue so thats the colour im looking for. Check out the pics.

I was meaning looking to sell the bike :)
From some of the other threads, a repair and re-spray may be your best option, especially if you can handle the bike being off the road for a week or so.
Unfortunately, the pointy headlights mount onto the fairing so running the bike without the fairing isn't really an option.
Well i broke my right elbow in the spill so i don't think i'll riding anytime soon. Need to get a new or decent second hand fairing sorted pronto tho. How much are they new and where can find them?

New? That would be a call to Mr Suzuki (local dealer) and about £300 - but you are guaranteed a colour match and perfection.
I bought the cracked one I repaired for about £50, and the blue one that was perfect off of someone on here who was racing, so had stripped the fairing off and wanted it out of their shed - I got that one for £150 and thought it a real bargain.
Thing is if any SV goes over, the fairing almost always gets scuffed so finding a mint, matching colour one may be tricky.
That said, every bit that is black on my bike above came from one blue SV or another (parts bought as they came up for sale and I had spare cash) so it may be that blue parts are easier to come by :p
Keep an eye on here, ebay and the SVSpares website (Bristol based breakers)

if you're not in desperate need to get them quickly, in about 4 weeks i guess, i will be breaking down my k6 sv as the engine went kaput (so fairing is still good). Its a fully faired one so has literally the full set (front, sides and rear), would like to sell all together if you're interested in converting it to a fully faired one. When you say you're quite tight on budget, how tight are you talking?
How much would you be looking for them? if i have a price i'll work on getting some cash together - where are u from?

Would you be selling ur radiator too as mine is twisted, if so how much for and would it fit on a K3?

i'm not sure if it would fit onto a k3 or not, i'm afraid you'll have to do some research into that, but bare in mind mine is a sport model, so i think the rad is slightly different to the N/S, but yes i am selling it, would you need the pipes and fan with it too? What fairing parts do you need? like is it just the nose cone or do you want the full set? and do you need the headlight unit or fairing brackets etc.
for now i really just need the fairing, i could do with full set of fairings depending on price, Do you have any pics. What price u got in mind?

yeah i will be selling the radiator too but bare in mind that mine is a k6 sports version, so i don't know if it is different at all, you'll have to do some research into that but i'm happy to sell it to you if its good. Would you need the pipes and fan as well or just the radiator?
What fairing would you want? would it just be the nose cone or would you like the whole set and would you want the headset unit with it or the fairing brackets. Also i have a spare set of crash bungs i can sell with them as well if you'd like to try and prevent it being cracked again.
my bike has the bracket for the head fairing, all i want is the head fairing, both sides with any fittings and the rear fairing. Can you give me a price for just the head fairing (no clock or clock surround, just the fairing) and a price for the whole fairing.
Cheers

sorry for posting my last reponse twice, my laptop didnt register that i had replied so i did it again and just noticed it has come up twice. if you look at my pictures the 3 pictures that are on there are pictures of the bike that I will be breaking, as you'll see it is the lighter blue that suzuki do for the sv, so the nose alone may not match up with your bike. I will be breaking it down and posting from south east london. I can send you the front fairing alone for say £50 posted, or full fairing (front, fender, both sides, and all the rear parts) and will throw in a pair of r&g crash bungs (as they replaced the side fairing bracket, as long as you don't mind that the left one has a slight scuff where the previous scratched it but did no damage to the fairing) for £350 posted. If you are rather strapped for cash, send me a message and we'll try and work something out
Hi mate, i would need the tank too but i just read that only K3 tanks fit K3's, it would be pointless if i got the fairing and it didn't match the tank.
Never mind. Guess i'll have to keep searching - thanks anywhere

you could always have a look at getting your tank sprayed to match, you can get a decent paint job done for just the tank for around £30 these days.
true but if your paintwork is like mine then it'll be 3 stage colour which is expensive, i had 2 quotes from companies to respray my nose cone and they came back with £200+. If the tank doesn't fit then the fairing may not either. I think i'll leave it mate, better to be safe than sorry.
Thanks,

If you are still after an oil cooler I have a spare one that I was going to paint up and change mine with (better fins) but never got beyond the cleaning stage. £40 posted which is what it cost me if you're interested.
Thanks MJC-DEV, turns out my oil cooler is minted. Thanks anyway bud
