Making a fresh ad after modifying the bike. For sale is my K3 Sv650s, the bike has been stripped back to bare frame and rebuilt using some of the best and most expensive modifications i could find and the result speaks for itself.

Advertising at £2750 ovno to people on the forum. An absololute bargain as i bought the standard bike last august for £1800 and have literally spent a couple of grand on it getting the way I want it but sadly the need for a car forces me to sell just when i was about to enjoy it! You couldnt buy a K3 onward sv and modifiy it to the same standard for that price!!

The basics are the bike has 22201 miles, tax til july 31st, and mot till the end of next month. Although i will try and get it on a fresh mot before it sells, shouldn't be hard as everything is new, pads, tyres, lights ect. Comes with lots of service history, and two genuine keys that fit all locks, It also includes a standard can, pillion seat and pegs, and a scottoiler if you want it!

A quick summary of the modifications include;

Gsxr 600 k5 front end
Gsxr 1000 K5 rear shock absorber
Gsxr 600 K8 rear wheel and spacer kit, (much lighter setup than standard)
520 x ring gold chain
520 pitch front and rear gold Talon sprockets
R&g crash sliders and bar ends, and tail tidy
Colour matched lower fairings and seat cowl with infills
Puig Db windshield
Powdercoated main frame and sub-frame
Goodrich braided brake lines
Pirelli Supercorsa tyres with lots of tread.
Suzuki sv gel seat
Scorpion oval exhaust, dome capped and stubbied.
High level exhaust link pipe
Ermax rear hugger (rattle can paint job)
Smoked tail light
Oxford mini rear indicators
K&N air filter

Theres plenty more and i can email the full modification list to anyone thats interested! The only bad points on the bike are that the front rotors are slightly warped so judder when slowing from high speed but still usable. Also needs a speedo drive, i have all parts just havnt got round to it, will try and fit during the week, and the the battery tray could do with finishing of but still doesnt cause a problem, oh and a small dent in the tank that doesn't really show in pics and just being honest.

Just to add, ive since fitted a after market digital speedo (Designed for a push bike) but works fine and displays speed, trip, odometer ect. Went by the local MOT garage earlier and they said it would be fine with that fitted. I will try and get it booked in for a fresh Mot before it sells if time permits.

What's wrong with the one already fitted?

Think you might have trouble selling it without an RPM display

Fancy selling your lower fairings ;)

Everything about the instrument cluster works, Rpm, temp, low fuel, low oil, high beam ect except speed/trip as currently no drive is fitted. When you do a Gsxr front end swap you can no longer use the sv speedo drive as it doesn't fit. You can however use a hall effect sensor spliced into the sv speedo drive cable and mounted somewhere close to the brake disc then use four round magnets usually glued into the brake disc to make it work. I haven't had the time to source all parts and put one together so for the time being ive installed a quick to fit wireless bike speedo!

And sorry the lower fairings stay, only just got them sprayed up last week lol!!

I'm sure you can just stick the original on the back wheel

I would have put the sv speedo drive on the rear axel but since fitting the k8 gsxr rear wheel and spacer kit theres no longer room so it will have to be the hall effect sensor mounted by the brake disc, or maybe the same setup as the sv1000?

Reduced to £2650, A bargain at this price, try and find one as heavily modified for the same price?

Bearing in mind the Gsxr front end cost around £500,
k8 Gsxr rear wheel cost £200,
rear shock £65,
520 pitch x ring gold 120 chain and gold talon sprockets £120,
High level link pipe £65
Lower fairings £80 then £165 to be professionally Colour matched to YAV ( burning copper )
Puig DB tinted screen £66
Tl1000 50mm clip ons £35
Seat cowl and infills ( rare in copper colour ) £70
K3 frame and subframe powder-coating £137
R&G full fairing crash protectors, and bar ends £118

These are just some of the modifcations and not to mention I had to buy the bike standard for £1800 in the first place, you quickly get an idea of how much this bikes actually worth. Viewings still easily arranged, This has to sell!

im afraid i dont think you will sell it at that price and milage and year, granted yours is much cleaner than mine but still couldn't get 2k for mine even with the engine work ect

nice bike though and good luck !

k3 tail looks so much better than k4+ specially in black

Reading this the bit about the clocks might put off potential buyers. If you put up a pick of the clocks it might help. Also as probably said somewhere before it's a better idea to return to standard and sell off the extras. You'll DEFINATELY get more money that way. Personally I would LOVE to own that bike but for the year and milage I would only want to part with around £2k maybe £2100. Good luck with the sale, someone will fall in love with it I'm sure

As other have said, it is a nice bike.. but adding bits and bobs doesn't increase the price of the bike. Its still an 8yr old bike. Sell the parts that you can easily swap back and sell the bike standard-ish.

The new oil, filter and a full tank off petrol I got at the weekend has increased my bikes value by £60. ;)

Yea i agree with what your saying, ideally I would have broken it up and sold it off but that would take time I dont have at the moment, not to mention would be tragic as ive only just finished it!, and i dont have any of the old bits left, Forks/wheels/brakes/yokes/shock/sprockets ect.

I think the price is a bit optimistic and will probably have to cut my losses and just lower it, Had I not needed a car for my new job i wouldn't even be selling it but needs must! Anyway if anybody is interested its going in for its MOT tomorrow, and I am open to offers!

Reducing to £2250, failed its MOT on one point, a missing spacer on the swingarm, other than that it had absolutely no problems or advisories, ive since replaced the spacer and am just waiting on a re-test which it will now pass so will have a fresh 12 months for the next owner, any interest PM or 07752151810

The bike is currently located in Southend on sea, Essex if you want to view.

You though about a loan to buy a car? If things go tits with the job, you could still sell the bike to pay off he loan!

Seems a shame to get the bike sorted the way you want it, to only have to sell it!
