Before my rant I want to make very clear that i like tall and short people and also peolple from the south LOTS of them !!!!!! So as not to cause offence to any of my chums!!

sooo.......... rant time !!!


what is it with total nut jobs down south sorry but this never happens up north ... lol so i'm waiting to give blood in a little corridor with about 15 others .. pouring down with rain and i kind of fell into the entrance of this church wet through waiting for the main entrance to open .. so we're all stood there and then the door opens NOTE: i am fully aware i was the last one in and not at any point was i trying to push in .... yet this stroppy arsey short bint of a git of a woman starts .. 'there are OTHER people in front of you,you know' to which i replied ' yes I KNOW that. I am in no way pushing in i am waiting my turn i'm just here to give blood like the rest of us' and i usher all the other people ahead of me, to which literally every person said ' ah no worries i don't care where i am in queue it'll take as long as it takes' kind of thing so i piped up and said 'thank you its nice to know there are some DECENT people in this queue' and she huffed and stropped off home!!!!. Stupid mong. THEN ALL the other people in the queue said ' jeeeze whats her problem, no one thought you were trying to push in' to which i said ' thanks guys i wasn't, her loss. THEN another twit of a dithering huge foreheaded cow ALSO pipes up ' thats so sad she left, well i wondered if you were going to push in too' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to which the rest of the crowd rather puzzled looking says' she wasn't!!' and i piped up ' Christ what is it with you two all i've come to do is give blood like i do every four months' to which foreheaded moose replies' you can't give every four months' to which even the NURSE replied 'yes she can, anyone can every four months' !!!!!!!! OMG !!! what is wrong with these people ... however.. kama and all... the short bint had already walked out and forehead woman couldn't donate as her blood was no good. WELL HA BLOODY HA!! THAT'LL TEACH YOU!!! At least my blood is better than hers !! lol rant over !!

Rather partial to a bit of dizzyblonde when at the brother in laws pub - its a good pint.

REAL proper ale is made within the Northern regions of the UK for a reason, you don't need to filter the water because of weirdo crap in it:p
Can't make a proper pint out of limescale crap!
Yorkshire water is probably the best, its why theres so many breweries here ;)

I think its a bit unfair to tar all 'suvernerrs' with the same brush! I live 40 mins outside London and i would have reacted in exactly the same way BBC did, some ppl are just miserable and have no friends hence why they are unhappy. I have to say an i mean no offence that i speak to customers on the phone at work all day, the majority of the northern and some are so depressing to speak to, although i will agree that northerners are very friendly ppl in general compared to 'suverners' and it is always a pleasure venturing North. However on the flip side i agreee i do not kno what is wrong with my fellow 'suverners' the are just uptight i guess! London is a horrible place to visit, cnt speak to anyone without getting a funny look!

BTW i am in agreement Real Ale is the future none of this chemical filled lager c**p!

As for Real Ale, what's that town up norf that has several huge breweries (including Coors) because its water is so nice? There's a third, smaller brewer that makes some damned fine lagers and such as well and I can't think of the name of it.

The best beers come from the South, two examples: Hook Norton, Harveys - and that's just the 'H-es'.

I think I'm with BigBaddad on the "it has to be continental" idea. Bierre Blonde, brewed in-house at the Trois Brasseurs in Reims is just about perfect - not too strong, not too weak, good flavour, not too bad the morning after. Or there's Leffe. Brewed by mad monks, it's about 8% and I can only drink it on holiday. I tried bringing some back to the UK once and the hangover was 10 times worse - weird.

As for the Suvern W*&%@rs vs Northern C^£#s discussion, I'm afraid there are just idiots all over. Well done for giving blood anyway. Haven't done it for years, probably should again really.
