View Full Version : Monacco GP
Anyone watching?
Some great racing going on, and some purely idiotic moves by a certain Mr Hamilton...

Yep quite good so far, except for Brundle & Coultards comentary driving me nuts
Yeah, thy are a bit mince.
I like DC better than Brundle though - at least DC is getting the names right!

the hamilton overtake was good. Schumacher did the same at the hairpin.
Got bored and went out
just missed a shiny smash and a red flag for the race...

I have to say, I'm with you on that VETtel it is. Great move by Weber just then
I'm glad Button got a podium, I thought he drove really well today.
Vettel is flying this year. Hamilton needs a race ban. Muppet. Grrr!

Mmm I'm not a fan of him either! lol

Its fettel ....
hamilton and di resta should' ve got some points.... on their license.. based on the stewards punishment hamilton must be punished for his 2nd take out on maldonado..
I feel for Williams who had their man in a decent position before being robbed by banzai bangilton.

Button deserved better though. Without the restart, Vettel and Alonso would both have been driving on shiny things for the last four laps and I think Button would have had them both.

Hmmm- Hamilton should have kept his mouth shut!
Great race- sadly we lost out on a classic finish.
Vettel- bloody lucky in my books. We were just waiting for his tyres to go.
Indeed, and I suspect he;ll regret the post race interview:

Maybe, but at least it's refreshing to see a sportsman actually speaking his mind instead of the usual rehearsed sound bites that just go blah blah blah.
I like him, he's competitive to the point of obsession and that's sometimes what you need to get to be a World Champ.

:smt038 agrred, very much like Montoya and at one time a certain mr Alonso was like that, remember the finger in the tunnel?
Anyhow,I think Button would have mugged the two in front of him at some point  had the red flags not come out but hey ho,thems the breaks.

I for one was happy Hamilton went for gaps when he did - from what I could see they were there, and after all, he's racing - if he's not going for a gap he can see, it's all just a big que of fast-moving traffic.
At least someone's got some nuts in F1 to actually make the moves...

Just for the record im a big hamilton fan, but no one can defend the 'overtakes' he attempted today.
He went for gaps that wasnt there, that hairpin collision with massa was a joke, he blamed massa for turning in to early? wtf? massa had the line and was perfectly right to turn in when he did.
Hamilton was behaving like a tw4t which as they said on the commentary, it was overspill from qualifying.
The three who got podiums didnt have to behave like that so there was no excuse for hamilton, he'll lose fans and respect for things like this if he isnt careful.
I'm glad you said that Phil - I'm not a Hamilton fan so it just comes over as sour grapes.

vettel didn't win it, button lost it through no fault of his own, agree with phil about hamilton, but on that track where the hell are you meant to overtake?

It was on when I was in the WMC with my father in law & grand-father in law (he's 87 bless him!!!). I had to turn my back to the TV for fear that it might send me to sleep & I missed a crucial move in the game of dominoes we were playing......................
sorry but this F1 malarky is just tooooooo boring.

Then why bother posting in a thread about F1 ??
Hamilton does always seem to be on the wrong end of stewards decisions - not that they were wrong yesterday mind - and I think a bit of frustration crept somewhere between brain & mouth :-)
Vettel it appears can do nothing wrong at the moment - from the stewards missed clear drive-through penalty for his overtake of Button during the 1st race (whole car outside the white line marking the limit of the track) even though Button was given a peanlty for exactly the same offence on Massa through to yesterday's decision to Red Flag the race - which definitely won it for him.
