am looking for a set of crash bungs to fit onto my 2001 curvy that can be used with a lower fairing kit

You will need either a set of R&G bungs which will fit without any modification to the lowers or a set of Motosliders, which will require a bit of sanding of the lowers to make them fit.
Out of the 2 the Motosliders are better, but the R&G's come a close second.
I've got R&G's, but make sure you order the specific set to fit the Sv fitted with the lowers.

the reason i ask - i have a set on my bike (fully faired) but im replaceing them with a bellypan type thing.

Depends on the way they fit on your fully faired?
This is the way the R&G's are fitted, so with a belly pan, it shouldn't be a problem.
