I tried sending this to Suzuki but the website kept failing to send it so I will post it here and try again tomorrow.
I did mention this problem a few days ago but I have much more detail on it. Hope one of you can help!
Hello I'm looking for some technical advice regarding an issue with my sv650s 04', the issue is as follows:
Under harsh acceleration when the bike reaches roughly 80mph the bike suddenly stops accelerating (like been kicked back). In this situation the red engine warning light comes on. Then when the bike is brought down to 20mph> the engine will cut out.
Under gradual acceleration the bike will easily achieve a speed of 100mph+ with no issue of cutting out and seems to run completely fine when returned to lower speeds.
These symptoms can be achieved without fail every time the bike is accelerating harshly.
I have checked the air-filter, changed the spark plugs, swapped the ECU and battery, also checked all air lines and fuel lines for kinks.
I hope that you can point me in the right direction of what may cause these symptoms.
many thanks Stephen
