Hello

Ever since I have adopted the "proper" foot/body position, (**** back, toes on pegs) I've found that after a while my feet and hips ache. When this happens I'll sjift back forward, put my feet flat on the pegs and sit up for a bit.

I reckon if the pegs were further back it would help, as currently they feel too far forward.

Alas, every rearset I have seen is £££...wondering if there are any cheaper ones out there?

£20 for a set of risers of flebay. 1"up and 1" back, for the price they do the job very nicely.

I'm not sure 1" would be enough, as when I put my feet where I "think" they would be most corfortable they are pretty much level with the heelplate.

Saying that, I'm well aware that 1" might not sound much, but can feel very different. Also for £20...might be worth a bash.

Hmmmmmm

Off to google gbmoto!

Thanks B-Badger. (is that like a stutter or what?)

You gonna be at GM or AR? You be a bit far for a pootle to test tbh.

What rearsets you got, what adjustment and what improvement?

Inflation strikes again

Not spending that much, its more of a convenience thing. Plus I'm tight.

Oi enough from you short ****!;)
Will be at AR GM is abit far and costly atm, but there will be plenty of SM & GM rideouts over june/july im sure.

Ive got the fixed 1up and back and it made the bike more comfotrable over distance easier to ride when im feeling spirited and slightly more flickable for me as i found it easier to shift my weight around as my legs were always in an odd position with the standard set up and now knee's are bent abit more which pushes me forward with flat bars for what i feel is better over the front end.

[Edit]
they also have a set with multiple holes so you can play around, think there only £5/10 dearer.

Ooo thanks buddy I'll have to have a gander tomorrow!

Do I have to worry about modding anything else or easy straight swap?

Used these when I raced minitwins.

Valter Moto (http://www.pdq1.com/part.php?PartID=2128&MakeID=31&ModelID=202&YearID=6327&Year=)

From what I remember you could buy individual parts if you did have an off so no need to replace the whole unit.

I've got the £27 eBay rearsets. I found that in the lowered position they fouled the OEM belly pan, and the raised position was a tad too cramped for me - 1" straight back would have been ideal. It made the bike feel more flickable and fun to ride, however due to petrol prices / public sector pay freeze I've been moutain biking to work. Consequently the SV has only been out in the very wet or when I've overdone it and hurt my knees, neither situation being comfortable for me (break out the mini-violins) so I've had to take them off again. You can have them for £20 if you're interested

Hang on a sec, are they just up or down? I'm after up and back (I think)

Thanks, might help others, I'm too tight to pay that ;)

The risers are 1 inch back and 1 inch up, might get a set myself

Can you flip them upside down so they do one inch back and one inch down?

Are these the risers?http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VALTER-MOTO-JACK-UP-RISER-PLATES-SUZUKI-SV650-S-99-02-/230637345497?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item35b30e9ad9

Expensive piece of metal, but tempted considering rearset prices. And as far as I can tell the only difference between them is aesthetics (maybe a bit better crashability too)

Anyone know if SV1000 rearsets will fit the SV650? Are they the same?

Busted up my GBMotos today and need new ones. Would Gillies SV1000 rearsets fit the 650? are they the same?
