This thread is for the pics from the Castle Coombe Bike Safe 2011. Odd that...

The day consisted of a Police assessed rideout where I went grass tacking and then a 15 minute track session. I put a standard can on the SV and took it round for a couple of very slow laps as there is something up with the front end. Not happy. But others faired better out on track.

Time for some shameless photowhoring...

Cool, nice to see you fella, we're quite knarked off you didn't get on, there were deffo louder bikes than yours.

I didn't hear yours when you went for the test but I heard others that got on. Sucks mate.

Well, not quite the heroics shown by the other chaps but not a bad effort having only passed my test 16 days ago.

Wideboy

basically you go out with a biker plod and they observe you, if they think your good and you listen bla bla bla you get about 10 laps (i think) as a reward. they only do it as no one would turn up to pay money just to have their riding scrutinised by a policeman so the track bit was to entice people in..... which is why i went

these are all i got, the rest were rubbish and couldn't be bothered to walk far as it was baking hot so this is at quarry which was the fastest bit.

i have to say out of all the groups we watched, dan and two of the instructors where the only ones close to getting their knee down there

What you mean you went Grass tracking? never asked how the road ride went.

My road assessment did not go well. Without going through the list of excuses I basically ballsed up a corner and ran very wide.

Took me 10 years before I got on a track...

Totally agree. I could see the learning and improvements you were making each time round. Well done.

Federer, first few times round that corner you were upright and steering around. By the end you were counter steering and leaning in a bit. I think you should be very pleased, I bet you had a good ride home ;-)

Bikesafe? On a track? With your reputation? ;) Excellent pictures.

I wish our Bikesafe had a track element! It would be awesome on Trac Mon.

Is there any chance of that video being uploaded, would very much like to see it again.

O right, thats a shame. Due to your bike being weird or rider error?
