Swap my Yamaha YZF R125 for a Suzuki 650S

Had this R125 for 18 months now and looking for something bigger, open to offers for a swap, email me pics and details of your SV or alikes.

The YZF has 9,400 miles, oil changes every 500 miles since I have owned it, recent chain and sprocket set fitted and new rear tyre. Has a years MOT and a years TAX on it.

This is a 2008 YZF R125, am willing to take an older SV650 or 650s !

Never been dropped, and is in A1 condition.

Great bike, and the reason for the swap is I want a bigger bike.

If you have an SV you dont use much and want a smaller bike to commute this is perfect, it will do 87 MPH and will get 105 MPG, cheap insurance and £16.00 a year road tax....

No modifications have been done to this bike and I am a mature owner.

I have all the documents for the bike and the bike is currently insured by myself.

Thanks, I have had a few offers on Gumtree, one GXR 600 and a Ducati Monster, both 02 plates, the guy wanting rid of the Monster to exchange the bike for his wife, guess if he sold it, the value would be around the YZF 08, so guess a SV may come along, if not no harm done! :-)

Out of interest why not sell the 125 and buy a SV? You would be able to sell it, buy an SV and have money left over....

That is the plan, though I thought I would try this advert to see what response I get :)

5 people on my local Gumtree have asked if I would sell it, so may eventually go down that road ...

Just over one litre per oil change, not a lot of oil, and the filter got changed every 2 changes.

I think on the service schedule it is ment to be every 1200 miles, it took about an hour to change and the oil and cost was not more than £7.50 a time for decent oil, if buying 4lts a time. I ran 2 strokes for a while and was frequently maintaning the things. Having the 4 stroke I guess I needed something to do :D

Wont do no harm to change your oil more often :o

Get it sold, I'm sure you'd be able to get a pretty good SV with the funds!. After all, the r125s are almost the same price as a new sv!

Manchester is about half way, i rekon i could do that but its a long old way and not been riding long.

EDIT: i think someone down my way wants my SV, so if that falls through i may consider the swap. shame its not a 250 could really do with a bit more power but not as much as an SV650.

To be honest buddy, am looking for something like a 05 plate onwards, good luck with the sale!
