Here's the planned route (now with James amendment);

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Allanshaw+Ind+Est,+1+Peacock+Drive,+Hamilton +ML39BG+(J+%26+S+Accessories+Ltd)&daddr=Dalmellington+to:Castle+Douglas+to:Dundrenna n,+Kirkcudbright+to:Newton+Stewart+to:Biggar+to:Wh itburn,+Bathgate,+United+Kingdom&geocode=FSsWUwMdJyLC_yEb2yyg2IQIcQ%3BFbEtTAMdeui8_ ykj4tMHNYFiSDGDv2dzKxzdxQ%3BFZpNRgMdtADE_ylbPz6XkY ViSDHojkrFKS7SzQ%3BFWhRRAMdVMfD_ykZ30Ok5N1iSDGn5Na 57_hdMg%3BFRKbRgMdio67_ymFa4PMUBViSDFNRB58TUTmJQ%3 BFdDBUAMd-jnK_ynrS2ePMKhiSDEAak4O-YkySA%3BFVR1VAMdb8XH_yn3MtXLMHSISDEwPSIinAXuww&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=54.954357,-3.975677&sspn=0.295323,1.054001&ie=UTF8&z=9

Its a 10:30 start this time to allow the people from further away to make it in time and I'm also proposing having it on the 10th July as I've already heard people can't make the 3rd.

Main stop will be in Castle Douglas for food (probably in the old petrol station or Tesco carpark)

we'll have quick stops 5 or 10 min stops (fag breaks) in;

Dalmellington (petrol station)
Dalry (on the 2nd time of passing)

we'll also have regroups on the way round.

Sadly Angelina has already said she can't make it so has sent a picture of her on a nice bike ;) (Look she's pushing ginger just like me!!!)

Mr Chucca, Mr Chucca...

I can improve the bit between Gatehouse & CD hugely... it'd only add on a few more miles (4 according to Google Maps, which I find hard to believe!), but let me know if you're interested?

carelesschucca

This time Google Map's has decided it's an extra 18 miles, not 4 - but still better than cruising along the A75 speed camera paradise for any longer than needed.

Had a run up form Muirkirk to Strathaven on friday there in glorious sunshine.

Partly resurfaced. Not the really gnarly, out the seat/onto the tank, mucho slappy bit but anyway......the new surface is... beautiful!

Dont know if this had been done the last time we were down there as it was wet.

Should be up for the run. See youse at J&S week sunday.

also nearly had a big off at the road to muirkirk from strathaven.i hit the metal plate on the midle of the small bridge and had a big tank slapper left and then right,just managed to slam my left foot down to keep me upright and it also somehow straightened the bike up for me.jim and tam were right behind me when it happened and jim still doesn't know how i didnt go down. me neither.
