View Full Version : Great day for a ride!

Just thought I'd share my happiness with the .org!

I went out to play on the Tiger around the Trough of Bowland and beyond.

Good, narrow, twisty lanes with some jumps, long straights to stretch the engine on and some fast, flowing B roads to scratch on.

A superb ride that just got faster and faster!

No idea how many miles or what roads I went down. Some I've been on before, others were new to me. Totally lost for most of the afternoon, I just went off in whatever direction looked best.

Loads of sunshine, no traffic, only one suicidal buzzard that decided to dive out of a tree into my helmet - it brushed the top! Made me giggle like a maniac too!

So that's it!

I thought I'd speard a little happiness! The best way to get through £20 worth of Shell V-Power that I know of! Plus, that expensive new rear tyre I had to get (puncture in Newtown whilst out with Dave and Mike) was a Michelin PR2. There's nothing wrong with them - stuck like glue today, all the way to the edge...

Hope you all had as good a day as I did!

Pete ;)

Glad to hear you had a good ride out BP. 'Twas a gorgeous day here too (still is!). If it carries on tomorrow I shall have to ride a bit further than Welshpool!

haha - I dont believe you've ever seen me ride, maybe once when I was a total newbie.

There are plenty about who will be only too happy to tell you how "outrageous" my riding is.

I don't remember meeting you, but then again, I'm getting old now, so the memory isn't so good.

Yes. Such as overtaking on double whites while going round a blind bend. Or what about overtaking an unmarked police car while doing triple figures. :p

(note: these may never have really happened... just things certain people have mentioned)

She's a bloody menace that one ;)

Speaking of outrageous, Pete did you get any decent footage from our ride the other week? Preferably before your puncture and after I nearly got creamed by that car! 8-[

Unless you've got pretty pictures to look at I'm not interested and I don't care. And BTW those pichers have to include scantily clad women!
