Just checking for peace of mind. Yesterday my curvy did a cracking backfire like a shotgun going off from cold with half choke the second the starter was pressed. It's never done anything of the sort before and just wondered if its anything to worry about.

awsome aint it, enjoy.
Think its unburnt fuel in the outlet which ignights - nothing to worry about thats for sure.

mine did this last nite! was on a pointy and obviously no choke, but starting from cold it turned engine over, what felt like once, and BANG!

it scared me but i played it cool and laughed at the other people it scared that were stood around :) no idea what caused it so im just secretly hoping its not broken

A) made me jump out of my skin B) Set off all the car alarms C) showed me who had pagers alarms on their cars

Mine does this Now and again. I have noticed that it only happens when the exhaust exit is close to something , like a wall .

only happens in the mornings for my sv after Ive ridden home from work and its sat there all night. the sound reverberates off all the houses a treat at 6.40 in the morning :D
