Greetings! Thought I'd say hello with this being my first post despite lurking here under a couple or usernames for about 3 or 4 years and now I've got my CBT coming up next Wednesday I might actually have something to contribute to the forum!

P.S How do I post an image? I'm posting from a phone and any amount of squinting won't help me find the right button.

Can't believe you've had 4 views and no one said Hi ( you bunch of unsocial gits)

Very unlike them!!

Howdy and welcome!! I'm afraid I can't help with the phone thing - I keep getting chucked out if i use my phone!!

Good luck with the CBT!!!

Hey Pat.

Welcome to da mad 'ouse. Dont feed the Bear is the only poece of advice i can gice you. As for posting a picture. If you go to 'Go Advanced' the scroll down a bit you will find an 'Add Attachment' bit. Use this to upload your photo. Failing that, use something like Photobucket, of flikr and then post a link from that into you post.

Happy posting and enjoy your time here.

Thanks for the welcome chaps. Think ill leave posting any pictures until at least one of my deceased PCs is working again.

Hopefully all will go well with my CBT. Bought some lovely kit at the weekend so hopefully when I inevitably fall off only my pride will be bruised. Mega excited though!

Four years is a bit of a long time isn't it :). I've been putting off taking lessons for ages now so I'm pretty glad I've managed to pull my finger out and get things moving!

one would have been the OP making sure the message was posted, the other would have been the OP seeing if there were any replies that hadnt shown themselves on the main page. The other would have been you so the only person who read it and didnt reply would have been somebody rude, like Reeder for example

Hello new bloke btw

I didn't go to Welholme school but oddly I think a couple of guys on my Facebook who i haven't seen for a long time did mention they went to Amsterdam recently. Might have been a stag do!

Not sure if it was James, Luke or Adam's stag do, and I know Peter W who went. They're all the same age/school year as you.

Hello and welcome.
Grimsby ey, excellent fishing museum, bit smelly mind.

I'm liking your use of the 'rule of thirds' in your avatar.

I'm pretty terrible at remembering passwords! Think I gave up and made a new 'un in the end

I don't think I'm Dangerous, or called Dave. We'll see about the former once I've passed my test.

Good evening from the sunny (well, today anyway) South Coast. Learning goes like this:
CBT - easy
Lessons - pick a good instructor and they're easy, fun and instructive
Theory - probably actually hard to fail if you have been near a road for more than 5 minutes
Mod 1 - trickier because it's all off road and hard to relate to real life
Mod 2 - providing you listened to your instructor, easy peasy

Best advice I ever had - "Keep your head up."

Good luck with it all and make sure you get a nice SV

I'll keep all of that in mind! As for good instructors I dont have a great deal of choice as one of the two places in Grimsby offering lessons has had to close temporarily due to one of the guys having a pretty bad accident but I'm hoping the other place will do me fine!

Oops! Still, just because he's had a spill doesn't make him a bad instructor. It's easy to be plain unlucky
