Different kind of horsepower

Had the opportunity to go to the races last night at Uttoxetter, so took my camera along to take some pics as I dont really gamble (Saying that, I did win £50 :)) We were in a box just past the start finish line, so the view was spot on. I might just start going to more meetings to work on my photography.

Some cracking pictures there Mister C! I really love the first two, wouldn't look out of place in the sporting section. Some really eye catching ones throughout though. Not regretting buying the DSLR then? :) really should take some more pictures myself, haven't been carrying my camera with me again.

I'm really pleased with the DSLR. I know it's only a cheap Canon 300D, but I am slowly learning how to adapt to certain things with it I just need to put them into practice.:)
I did feel a bit strange walking around with a handbag all night (it was ladies night though lol), but, it's another memory caught for posterity :)

Use spot focus and a slightly faster shutter speed. It will help but not always

Cheers Viney. It was getting a bit dark by the end, so cheated & put it on full auto. That'll teach me lol
